It was a new day, and Lexy and Megalim had decided it was finally time to prepare for their journey out of town. With the two of them living in game now they never had to worry about the other not being online. They could just roam around and do their thing every day without worry.

"Is this everything?" Lexy asked as she looked at all the items laid out in front of them.

"Extra large tent, big enough for four people, vanity bathtub, sleeping bags, antidotes, health potions, and food supplies. I think we are good to go." Megalim went down the list of items.

From what they found out from Olivia, the next town was actually a long journey away and sat in the middle of a level forty zone. So they would need to level up along the way as well as farm for materials to make their own items as they go as well when their supplies run out. Lexy double-checked everything before splitting up the consumables with Megalim and stuffing the tent and other items in her inventory. "Then shall we go?"

"Whenever you are ready." Megalim had never been happier. Her old cruel life was no more. She could now live a life without worry and be by the side of the most important person in her life.

The two girls made their way towards the town exit, where the guards saluted Lexy as soon as they saw her. "Miss Lexy, would you like us to vanquish the demon lord?"

"Stand down, brave heroes!" Lexy suddenly began role-playing, leaving Megalim standing by her side in confusion. "Today, I will vanquish the demon lord who plagues these lands before finding the five demon generals and dispatching them for all eternity. But as I am now leaving these lands, I will need to entrust you with this duty to make sure that when the demon lord resurrects itself that you kill it without hesitation."

The two guards had tears forming in their eyes as they stood up straight and saluted Lexy. "We will work hard and follow your orders!"

Lexy nodded as she took a step forward, the confused Megalim followed after her. She watched as Lexy pulled out her whip and stood at the edge of the town right in front of a big eyed blue slime. "Today will be our last encounter, oh great demon lord. When I first came to this place, you showed me how weak and powerless I was. But now I am much stronger than you! You will never be able to unleash your evil plot to take over the world. Only I, the demon queen, can take over this world!"

And with this battle cry, Lexy lashed out with her whip at the squishy cute slime that had no idea what she was even saying as it bounced up and down, not even trying to dodge the incoming attack. With a grand display of glowing cubes, the demon lord was vanquished. Lexy put her hands together and bowed her head as she said a little prayer. "You fought a tough battle, old friend..."

Megalim really wanted to ask what was going on, but she was afraid she would embarrass Lexy, so she held her tongue. As she stood there, she heard soft sobbing from behind her, causing her to turn around to see both the guards from before actually crying! Why were they crying!? She really wanted to know!

"Now onward to the demon generals!" Lexy sheathed her whip and pointed ahead as she stepped out of town to begin her new journey.

It did not take very long for Lexy to run into her demon generals, which she vanquished very quickly. Only then did she set out on the path that led through the woods towards the next leveling area. It was an area for level ten to fifteen. In a private voice chat, Lexy asked: "Becky, you said the next area is a beach?"

"Mmm, that is what Olivia said," Megalim replied. She seemed to be lost in thought as she did.

The level one to five field was just outside the grove town, while the forest was level five to ten. It would take about a week to get out of the forest traveling by foot. But Lexy did not mind since she was not alone. They were planning to take their time anyway. A normal trip by foot while stopping to level up would take a normal player three months in game.

"Becky, keep an eye..." Lexy was about to ask Megalim to keep an eye out for any glowing plants, but Megalim interrupted her.

"Lexy, just Megalim from now on. I no longer want to be associated with my past now that I have been reborn in game . I wish to no longer have anything to do with the real world anymore, and that means leaving my name behind as well." Megalim had been thinking about it all this while, and this was the decision she came to. She no longer wanted anything to do with her past self. She was Megalim now and Lexy's girlfriend. She was no longer the old, weak Becky.

Lexy smiled and held Megalim's hand. "Then Megalim it is!"

As the two walked, a message came over guild chat from Olivia. "Did you guys know there is an ugly dwarf who is stuck in respawn being killed over and over in Grove Town? I heard his screams are so freaky that the people living around the respawn moved away."

"No, we just left Grove Town to make our way to the next city. We are currently headed for the beach area now." Lexy replied. But she was curious as to why the ugly dwarf was being killed over and over.

"Ahh, be careful at the beach. There is a world boss there that is level fifty. It's a crab boss, and it's impossible to kill. Trust me, I know. I tried to fight it a few times." Olivia went on to say that she had thrown everything she had at it only for it to cast some aoe water spell that instantly killed. Since then she left it alone.
