“Pretty lady, please stop running!” The tubby young man yelled out, still chasing after Lexy and Megalim. They had already been running for half a day, and at this time, Lexy had Megalim on her back as she ran. 

“Nya! Leave me alone!” Lexy yelled out, not wanting to even turn to look at the tubby young man.

“Why are you running! I just want to talk with you! And if you’re willing, you can also show me your panties!” The tubby man said in all seriousness.

“Are you bent!? Why would I show you my panties!? No, wait… What the hell are you dragging along with you!?”  Lexy had finally turned to see not only the tubby young man but also a horde of monsters following behind him. The horde was like a wave of monsters rolling along.

“What does bent mean!?” The tubby young man asked as he did his best to keep up. It seemed he was gradually becoming slower by the second.

“Like I will tell you! Now shoo! Fireball!” Lexy couldn’t take it anymore and tossed a fireball at the tubby young man. She wanted nothing to do with this weirdo! If she could remember her past self, she would probably cough up blood as when she was a he, he had acted in the same disgusting manner, to an angel no less. 

The tubby young man did not expect a fireball to come charging at him, causing him to take it straight to the face, sending him rolling back into the group of monsters. Those monsters quickly pounced on him, biting him. Seconds later, at a respawn point within the field, the tubby young man appeared sitting there with a confused look on his face. “What the hell does:  ‘Are you bent,’ even mean!? I need to log off and boogle this…”

Lexy did not stop running for almost twenty minutes when she finally looked behind her to see that he was no longer chasing her. Only then did she come to a stop. As for Megalim, who was wrapped around her like a koala bear, she had a big smile on her face as she buried her head into the nape of Lexy’s neck, to her, Lexy’s smell was addicting. 

“Ku Ku Ku!” Megalim let out a weird laugh as she sucked on Lexy’s neck. 

Lexy ignored the little vampire girl as she looked around, feeling completely lost. “Uhh… Where are we?”

Megalim looked up and looked around and then looked at her map. “We are in a dungeon… Map says The Bandit Cave.”

The place that they were in was like an old mine. Wood beams supported the ceilings and walls so they would not cave in. There were even wires running along the rocky ceiling as well, with lights placed here and there.

“If this is a dungeon, that means we may be able to get some good stuff, right?” Lexy asked. She had not actually been in a dungeon if you did not count when she met Nana. But even then, that could not be counted as a dungeon. Only the quest line at Holland Town could be considered close to one.

“I think so? I have never been in a dungeon before.” Megalim also never got to do a dungeon yet, so this was also her first time.

Lexy posted a message to Olivia to see if she had ever heard of this place. “No… Dungeons are rare and hard to find. Most people find them by accident like you just did. All dungeons are instanced, so no one will come and try to steal your loot. So you can freely explore it and tell me what you find. Tomorrow I will bring Staple there to do a few runs.”

“Alright. We will explore as much as we can.” Lexy was excited. Her first dungeon! She wanted to see what a dungeon boss was truly like! “Limlim, we need to be ready for any… Nyaaa~!”

“Ku Ku!” Megalim gave a cheeky smile as she slid off Lexy's back, but that was only after she nibbled on Lexy’s ear.

Lexy held her ear, her cheeks red. She reached over and spanked Megalim’s butt. “Don’t tease me!” 

Megalim smiled innocently as she got her staff out and got into battle mode. Lexy pursed her lips and got her whip ready. “We will take it slow just in case.”

“Mm…” Megalim answered as she followed behind Lexy as they began walking down the dimly lit tunnel. 

Lexy had never done any dungeons and did not ask Olivia for the specifics of how a dungeon works. This was because she wanted to discover things on her own. Only this way would things become more fun. Since she was basically an immortal and could not die, there was no need to fear death as she could have fun playing in a game that was now her real world.

 As the two progressed down the tunnel, it came up to a two way split. “Which way?”

“Ummm… Left? Normally in games, I always go left.” Megalim answered.

“Then left it is!” Lexy turned and began heading down the left tunnel. 

Ten minutes later… “Nyaaa! I almost died!”

Lexy had sweat rolling down her forehead as she looked at the spikes punching into the ceiling. The path looked normal all the way until she stepped forward. If she was not quick, enough both her and Megalim would have died. As she jumped back, she pulled Megalim with her. Right now, she felt her little heart was about to jump out of her chest. “Limlim, are you okay?”

“Huh? Ah! Yeah…” Megalim was in a daze. When she saw the spikes coming up from the ground, she thought she was a goner. Thankfully Lexy was quick in her reaction.

“Well, now we know to be extra careful. I wonder what set this trap off…” Lexy walked over to where the spikes were slowly retracting back into the ground and started brushing away the dirt on the floor with her foot. “Oh! A pressure plate!”  Lexy looked at the huge metal plate and understood what had happened. It was set to go off after someone walked further onto the plate. Luckily it slowed enough as Lexy jumped backward into the air to allow her enough time not only to save herself but Megalim as well. This action was instinctual and related to her race as a catkin.
