Special Treatment

“So this is the place?” Staple stood with her tall shield stabbed into the ground in front of the entrance to a well-hidden cave. 

“Yep! These are the coordinates she gave me before entering. Now then…” Olivia unsheathed her sword and began clearing all the brush hiding the dungeon entrance. This only took a few seconds, and after she was done, she pulled out a large sign that read 'Dungeon Here!' from her inventory that she premade and hammered it into the ground. Only then did she nod her head in self-approval and turned to smile at Staple. “Let’s go meet my cute little sister!”

New World Online Headquarters…

Inside a room on the top floor, a man sat behind his desk that was covered in stuffed cat girl plushies that closely resembled everyone's favorite cat girl. “So the system evolved again?”

“Yes… Sir, the system has made Her Highness the boss of the bandit cave dungeon. It has also named her the Demon Queen and has given her the ability to form her own army of demons. Even the mistress has been titled the Demon Queen’s Wife. Her guildmates are on their way into the dungeon to see if they can free them from the binds of it, but I am not sure how well this will work.” The secretary replied. She did not seem phased by the fact that she just called Lexy her highness.

“Hmmm… Then have we lost control of the dungeon itself?” The man asked.

“No, Sir. We just can not do anything about the boss room. The dungeon itself is still acessable. But for the boss room, the most we can do is spawn a loot box in the room. The dungeon, however, seems to have evolved along with the change of the final boss. It seems to have turned into a land of the undead.” The secretary replied.

“Then let’s do this. That dungeon will now belong to Her Highness. Create an item that gives her ownership rights over the dungeon as well as access to the dungeon functionality. This will allow her to build the dungeon as she wishes. Make it so it will scale with her level. We still have to be somewhat fair. Also, allow for a housing spot within the dungeon for guild housing and give it to her guild master via in game mail. Do it all within the hour. Put the whole coding team on it.” The man at the desk ordered before turning back to his computer screen. 

“I will have it done right away.” The secretary reached out and patted the largest plushie on the desk before turning and leaving. She was hired to help relate all matters in game that dealt with Her Highness to the president. One might ask her if she felt it was weird that a bugged NPC cat girl was on the brink of becoming a god in some people's eyes, and she would answer this question with a single word: No! She would never feel such a thing to be weird. Her Highness was so loveable and cute. Only heretics who did not understand Her Highness’s cuteness would say otherwise. 

She had been working here for a while now, and only today did Lexy the cat girl become Her Highness in the eyes of many. She had heard that someone had tried to bad mouth Her Highness only to be beaten by the high priestess early in the day. He was then stripped naked and tossed out onto the streets. Since then, the President changed the way he called Lexy from her name to Her Highness. The only thing she felt was sad that her membership number for the Nya Nya Fan Club was nowhere close to being near the top one hundred. Her Highness has many followers as by the time she was able to get my card,  she was already number 10728…

“Oh! Miss Sako, why are you here?” A man from the coding department walked over and greeted the secretary.

“The President has sent down orders. The bandit dungeon will no longer be deleted. It will be given to Her Highness to be her new Demon Queen lair. So make an item that will give her control of the dungeon and the dungeon interface. Make sure it will scale with her level. It needs to be done within an hour. Also, assign a spot near the boss room for a guild house within the dungeon and gift the spot to Her Highness’s guild leader. Make it quick and without any bugs, or you can forget working here at New World Online where Her Highness was given life!” The Secretary, Miss Sako, replied before turning around and walking away. 

The man she was talking to, face went pale. He had no time to spare! He turned around and began ordering the thirty coders on his team to begin working on it right away!

Thirty minutes later…

“Hmmm? System mail from the devs?” Olivia opened her mailbox and read the mail. “Because you house Her Highness in your guild, we are truly grateful for your care and concern for her Highness. Due to this, we at New World Online would like to reward you with a permanent and free guild house with Her Highness’s Dungeon. This is not only to help benefit your guild so that when the guild wars patch comes out can have a perfect protective location. It will also allow Her Highness easy access to the end of the dungeon without needing to travel to and fro. This guild house will be separate from your guild's single allocated house slot. We at New World Online wish you luck and happy adventures as you play the game with Her Highness.”

Olivia pursed her lips as she read the mail. She then saw an item attachment. She opened the attachment and accepted it.

“Hmmm? So… So wait…. Who is this ‘Her Highness’ they are talking about?” Olivia scratched her head and looked at Staple to see if she knew anything. She had never seen any posts about ‘Her Highness’ on the game's forums, so she was confused as to what was happening.
