While Yuki could hear Elder Nishikawa’s words, she was still frozen in place. The fact that her two biggest secrets were exposed so easily scared her. If word got out, she would be….  Before she could collect her thoughts, she was pulled into a warm embrace. Elder Nishikawa hugged Yuki tightly as she rested her chin on her head, “Don’t overthink. Just know in this world, you have allies. In this place, I will protect you with everything I have, even if it means giving up my life. You and Nana are still young and need to grow to a point where no one can harm you. Only then can you achieve your goals. Train for now. You and Nana can stay here tonight, and we will talk more tomorrow.”

Yuki could only nod her head, her expression cracking. Her heart seemed to be wavering. This kind of warmth…. How long had it been since she had felt such warmth?

While Yuki and her Master were having a moment outside Yuki’s immortal cave, a young man wrapped in bandages stood there staring with hate filled eyes. “What are you doing outside my Junior Sisters’ immortal cave?”

The young man turned to see Rin standing there with a questioning gaze. He lowered his head as he greeted her. “Senior Sister Rin, I just came to….”

“Get out. You are lucky to even be still in the sect after what you had planned. If I see you near this immortal cave ever again, I will cut you down myself. The sect has already passed down judgment on this case. It will be read out loud tomorrow at the statue. I suggest you go there tomorrow morning on your own. Otherwise…. Heh… It will not be pretty if one of us has to come find you.” Rin hated this young man more than anything. When Elder Nishikawa told her about him, she wanted to go find him and cut his head off right then and there, but the sect rules do not allow her to do so. But that did not mean, if given a reason, she could not beat him half into the grave.

The young man, who was none other than Kenji, clenched his fists as he looked up at Rin and asked: “Why is everyone trying to stop me from being with her!? Why can I not have Yuki as my wife!? Why am I the bad guy in all of this!? I have done nothing wrong, but now look at me!? Can I even be considered a man anymore!?”

“Are you an idiot? You planned to do something so horrible to a young girl barely in her teens, and you want people to feel pity for you? You are lucky you are still alive. Remember what I said. Stay away from here, or else I will ignore the sect rules. And make sure you show up tomorrow.” Rin drew and rested it on her shoulder. “Don’t make me say it again.”

Kenji gritted his teeth as he turned and left. He hated it. He hated this sect. He hated Rin. He hated the girl who made him like this. As he made his way down the path, a thought came to mind as his lips curled up. “I will just deal with the ease targets first….”

Rin watched as Kenji left and let out a sigh of relief. She did not wish to get kicked from the sect just yet. “Senior Brother, I know you are there. You can come out.”

Takeichi walked out from the shadows and stood next to Rin. “To think, even after all this, he still has not given up.”

    “He seems obsessed for some reason. Anyway, I will need to go and have a sleepover at Amis and Ai’s place.” Rin smiled as she patted Takeichi’s shoulder. “Senior Brother, I will have to trust you to watch this place for me tonight.”

“Alright. But send out the signal if things get out of hand and you can’t handle it in a good manner. Do not let anger consume you.” Takeichi was worried Rin would lose herself in anger if something did happen.

“I will send out a signal before it gets to that point.” Rin smiled as she put her hands behind her back and looked at Takeichi. “If anything bad happens, I will be waiting for my hero to come save me.”

Takeichi watched as Rin ran off and let out a sigh. “That girl really knows how to get to me….”

Back on the mountain peak, Yuki was currently standing in front of a tree. She decided to trust Elder Nishikawa and released her disguise, and was now in her true form. This was not why she was standing in front of a tree, of course. Her main goal at this time was to climb up the tree as if she was walking on land. This was the first phase of her training to train her sky movement technique.

She took a deep breath and circulated her spiritual qi to the bottom of her feet, and pushed it out to form a thin layer on the soles of her feet. She then began walking towards the tree, placing each foot on the tree as if she was going to walk normally when…

*Thud!*

Yuki fell on her butt almost instantly. Pursing her lips, she got back up and dusted her butt off, and stared at the tree. She had no idea what she was doing! It just said to use the spiritual qi to walk up the tree!
