Yuki sat on the edge of a cliff far off from where Nana was. Elder Nishikawa and Silvia also had to watch from afar. Nana and Yuki were about to undergo their first tribulation. They only needed to break the barrier that blocked them from reaching the astral star realm. They both took out the pills, especially refined by Elder Nishikawa, just for this. It was an astral star pill. It would help anyone in the fate star realm break through to the astral star realm. The only difference between this pill and the ones on the market was this one had no impurities. 

Elder Nishikawa spent two days refining this pill as soon as the girls hit the twelfth fate star. She did not want them to be bogged down by pills with impurities. Just to make such pills was already highly taxing on her mental strength, but for her two disciples, it was worth the trouble.

Yuki looked up at the clear blue sky before taking a deep breath and popping the pill into her mouth. The pill instantly melted and slipped down her throat. She chuckled just thinking about when she got her first pill. It was nothing spectacular, but to her, it was a treasure among treasures. Elder Eijiro was such a kind person. He even gave up his life to protect her.

Thinking about those days caused tears to well up in Yuki’s eyes. She had been so busy lately that such thoughts had not been popping up, but now…. Yuki clenched her fists as she pushed the condensed spiritual qi and demonic qi to her dantians. She was undergoing a double tribulation. The pill she had consumed was different from Nana’s. It had both demonic qi and spiritual qi within it. 

The spiritual qi and demonic qi both followed the same path before splitting and smashing into her dantians. Yuki instantly heard a shattering sound as the walls broke the boundary to the astral realm. 

Dark clouds began to form overhead almost instantly. The ground under Yuki also began to shake as her two dantians seemed to begin undergoing a change. They slowly began to merge together, mixing the black and white qis into a swirling motion. Even the meridians that connected to two dantians were fusing together. This process was enlarging Yuki’s meridians more and more. Spiritual qi and demonic qi began swirling around here, mixing together and seeping into her body. 

Elder Nishikawa frowned, seeing the disturbance around Yuki. She knew Yuki might end up with a double tribulation, but this was not normal. She quickly waved her hand, sealing off the area from prying eyes. She could tell that Yuki’s transformation technique had completely worn off. Yuki’s tails were dancing in the wind. Spiritual qi and Demonic qi surged and flowed into Yuki in waves. The sky above began to crackle with golden streaks of lightning, causing Elder Nishikawa to feel something was truly off. 

“Silvia, go and protect Nana. Yuki’s tribulation is no longer on the same level as a normal astral realm tribulation. This is more like….” She hated to say it, but this was basically the heavens trying to kill Yuki! 

“Will Master be okay?” Silvia was worried. She had never been worried for someone before, but Yuki and Nana were different. They shared a bond she had never had with others. She did not wish to lose Yuki as her master.

“Don’t worry. I will try to do something. Just hurry up and go!” Elder Nishikawa forced Silvia to leave. She knew that if something happened now, never mind protecting Silvia; she did not know if she could protect herself.

“Elder Nishikawa!” A voice came from behind her. She turned to see the sect master standing there. “What is going on?”

“Sect master, as you know, Yuki is not normal. She has never been normal to start with. This also goes for her cultivation path.” Elder Nishikawa took a deep breath. There was no use hiding it now. “Yuki is a dual cultivator in more than one sense. Her path is both spiritual qi and demonic qi. But it seems they are fusing together, and the heavens do not seem to be willing to let that happen.”

“I have known the brat has had both since the start. I only let her join the sect since she was under your care. I also know she is a good girl, so do not worry. I will not kick her out.” The sect master spoke honestly. He never said anything since they never said anything to him. 

Elder Nishikawa let out a sigh of relief. She wanted Yuki to stay in the sect a little longer. She was glad the sect master was willing to make an exception for her. “The golden lightning you see in the sky is something that only those who are breaking through to the immortal realm will receive. She is about to undergo a tribulation she should not need to face while here on this plane….”

“What!?” The sect master’s face paled. He could not even dream of becoming an immortal. This was why he became a sect master. He knew he would not break through the binds of this plan and reach a higher one that would allow him to break free from his mortal bindings. “That means….”

“Sect master, help me seal off the area more. No one can come in. If anyone sees Yuki and she survives this, she will be hunted for life.” Elder Nishikawa begged. She even bowed her head. She did not want others to see Yuki while she underwent this kind of tribulation.

“Don’t worry; I will seal this place off.” The sect master added to the barrier that Elder Nishikawa made. She asked him since he was very good at barriers. With his help, anyone who was not as powerful as her would not be able to enter this place.
