Legend Of Yuki: The Wrath Of The Tailed Asura
First Tribulation Part 3
Yuki’s expression was grim. She felt whatever was about to come was something that she would not be able to take. In the stories she read in her past life, she had read about the protagonist who would end up having to deal with some kind of godly power trying to kill them. But what she did not get was how she, a person who was no protagonist of any book, was suddenly getting slammed with some godly retribution?
“Am I going to die?” Yuki was nervous. She had not had a chance to try to free her people yet. Or even get revenge for them. She wanted to grow stronger and see Sei again. She wanted to do so much, but from the pressure she was feeling from the clouds overhead, she was about to be struck dead before she even got a chance to do anything.
“My Little Asura….” A faint voice entered Yuki’s ears. She felt like she was hearing things. “Calm down….. In case of an emergency, I left a strand of my will within you. I can not stop the lightning from striking you but I can help you hold it back while you refine it. You must endure the pain that is to come. If you can refine this divine lightning you will be able to grow in power.”
The voice she was hearing was a voice she would never forget. Her eyes began to turn red. Her voice trembled as she called out: “Sei….”
“It’s Master you little fox. Get ready. It’s coming. Remember endure and refine it all!” Sei had worried something like this might happen. If there is an oddity in any realm they would be struck by the divine lightning that would come to try to kill them. Yuki would need to take this chance and use the divine lightning to her advantage.
By doing so she would be able to protect herself from future tribulations. By harnessing the power of lightning she would be able to use the lightning element at will, making it her first element.
“I will endure…” Determination flashed in her eyes. She would do as Sei told her and try her best to overcome this disaster. She would also turn this disaster into her own strength!
“It’s coming!” Sei’s voice cried out. Yuki watched as the golden lightning shot down. It was as a thick bolt of lighting at least a hundred feet in radius.
It hit the barrier that Elder Nishikawa set up to disperse some of the lightning, instantly shattering it and striking down on Yuki. “Yuki!!!!!!!!!!” Elder Nishikawa’s face paled. She stared in horror at the sight of the golden lightning slamming down on her disciple. She could not let Yuki’s life end like this. She was about to unleash her strength when the sect master’s voice entered her ear.
“Nishikawa! Calm down. Look!” The sect master’s words brought her back from her panicked state. In front of her, what she saw was beyond anything she could ever imagine.
Twenty golden tails covered Yuki within the bolt of divine lightning that did not seem to end. The lightning was trickling through the golden tails and entering into Yuki’s body. Yuki’s little face was pale as she did her best not to cry out in pain. She slowly took in the divine lightning, strand by strand, and worked hard to refine it as fast as she could. She could feel how destructive this lightning was as it bounced around her meridians. But every time it damaged them, it was basked in golden light and healed.
Yuki slowly got used to the pain the more she refined the golden lightning. The refined portions entered he dantian and the pool of spiritual qi and demonic qi she had within it began to form golden pillars. These golden pillars crackled with lightning. With each strand of divine lightning she refined, another one would form.
Yuki could feel the power within her swelling as divine lightning seemed to run through her meridians now and circulated back into her dantian. Within her dantian, twelve white stars circled around her dantian. Within this circle, another purple star suddenly appeared. This was proof that she had broken through to the first astral star realm. These stars circled around the golden pillars that were forming every second.
“It’s coming to an end. Yuki, refine as much as you possibly can.” Sei urged Yuki to move faster. The more she could refine, the stronger she would be. She herself also did not have much time left either. She was glad this tribulation was almost over.
Yuki tried her best to refine as many strands as she could, but sadly, time was not on her side. In the end, she could only refine three more strands. “It’s over?”
“Mm…. Yuki, this will be the last time we speak. Stay strong and work harder. Remember the path of asura is something you can not deviate from. Until we meet again…..” Sei’s voice faded away making Yuki tear up. She had yet to open her eyes nor did she want to at this time. She was picturing Sei in her mind and hoped that She would stay safe until the day they met again.
“Yuki!” Elder Nishikawa’s voice forced Yuki to open her eyes. She sat there in a daze as she looked around. The entire area around her had disappeared. She was currently floating in the air with four tails swaying behind her….
“Hmmm? When did I get an extra tail? And it’s gold!” Yuki looked at her golden tail in confusion. She only remembered getting two more when she reached the sixth fate star; she was not supposed to get any more until she reached the sixth astral star!
