Legend Of Yuki: The Wrath Of The Tailed Asura
Exposed
It took almost half an hour for the small hall to become filled with the villagers, most of whom had to rush over from the fields they were working on. When they saw that the village chief was not sitting in the head seat and instead was a young girl, they all had become very confused.
Haruhi smiled at everyone present. She took a long look at each person and noticed their sunken cheeks and then looked at the old man, who seemed to be quite chubby. She now had the final piece she needed to deal with the situation.
“You all are probably wondering who I am. I am Haruhi, the personal disciple of the sect master of the Heavenly Cloud sect. Next to me is my junior sister, who is also a disciple of the Heavenly Cloud Sect. I called you all here to try to get an understanding of the current situation in the village. From what the village chief tells me, you do not have enough food to go around?” Haruhi’s words made the villagers all lower their heads. To them, someone from a sect was like a god. They had the resources to become immortals.
The village chief’s expression turned cold as he turned around and looked at everyone there. He was trying to threaten everyone from saying anything. If they told the truth and said that her words were right, then he would be finished!
“Miss!” A young man suddenly stepped forward. He ignored the icy stare of the village chief and continued: “What you said is correct. We were told that your sect has lowered the rations you would give us.”
“Hmmm? It was never lowered.” Haruhi’s reply caused everyone present to lift their heads and then look at the village chief.
“Village Chief, is what she says true!?” The young man from before yelled out. “You told me we did not have enough food to go around! My mother died from hunger to use what little food we had to feed me!”
“How could it be….” Before he could finish speaking, a strong killing intent fell on him. He looked up at the two girls at the front of the hall to see Yuki staring back at him with pure killing intent in her eyes. “You!”
One thing Yuki could not stand was those in charge not caring about the people they were supposed to be looking after. Yuki stepped forward and drew her sword. “You let your own people starve!? You have so much food hidden in that warehouse, but you did not give it out to others!? What have you been doing with the food all this time!?”
“Junior Sister! Wait! Don’t kill him.” Haruhi quickly stopped Yuki. She knew if Yuki went off now, then there would be a very violent scene.
“Senior Sister, we can not let this bastard get away with this!” Yuki was truly mad.
“Don’t worry. I will take care of it.” Haruhi reassured Yuki.
Yuki looked at the old man before snorting and sheathing her sword. The old man had sweat dripping from his forehead. He did not know why, but this young girl’s aura was so oppressive he could not even move! “Old dog, just know you got lucky!”
Haruhi smiled and did not say a word as she watched Yuki return to her side. “From what I understand, all of you have been lied to this entire time. There is plenty of food for all of you to eat your fill for quite a few years here in this village.”
“What!? That can’t be!” An older woman yelled out. “The village chief said that we were not going to be able to get much from now on a few years back. My daughter…. My daughter died!”
“You bastard!” An older man yelled out and charged at the village chief. The older man swung his fist and wanted to punch the village chief in the face, but he felt a powerful force knocking him back.
“You dare rebel!? Did you all forget I am also a cultivator!?” The village chief shouted in anger. He could no longer hold back. “So what if I stored the food!? So what if I sold it off for resources? You damn people do nothing but eat! You should be happy I helped you weed out the useless ones! Those that die so easily from a little bit of hunger should die!”
Upon hearing all of this, Yuki was using all her strength to restrain herself. Luckily, she did not need to restrain herself for long. “Yuki you can cripple him.”
Yuki did not even say a word before her body flashed, and she reappeared behind the old man, her sword stabbing right through his dantian. She snorted and coldly said: “Looks like you won’t need resources anymore!”
“You! You crippled me!?” The village chief face stared at the sword sticking through his stomach in disbelief. He could feel his years of cultivation slipping away! “No! No! Why would you cripple me!?”
“Hah! Why!?” Haruhi yelled out in anger. “Old man, you need to really look at what you have done. Not only did you not stick to the pact that this village agreed to, but you used the food and other resources that we sent here to help you out as a means to buy cultivation resources for yourself! Your fate now is in the hands of the people who you have been letting starve to death!”
Haruhi felt this was the best solution. Leave the life or death of the old man up to them.
