Not Tasty

“Yuki, do you want to go to the festival?” Delia asked as she took a sip of her spirit wine.

“Yeah, I was thinking it would be a good change of pace from all the killing. We just dyed the West Wind kingdom in blood, so before we turn the mainland into a sea of blood, we should at least enjoy this downtime.” Yuki replied. She was not keeping her voice down at all.

“The fuck!? A damn mutt thinks she can kill as she pleases!?” A young man in a familiar robe walked over to Yuki’s table. He had just walked in when he heard Yuki’s words. Seeing how she was from a mystic race, his anger soared. He did not like it when walking tonics talked big.

“Hmmm?” Yuki looked up and raised her hand. A crimson-red aura shot toward the young man and pierced through his head. As the red aura slowly pulled back, revealing the small soul within. Yuki plucked the soul between her fingers and opened her mouth and tossed it in. “Gulp! Urp! So weak, and yet he dared to act like he was powerful.”

“Yuki, you made a mess on the floor.” Delia sighed and waved her hand. A shadowy figure appeared and grabbed the dead body on the floor and consumed it. Once there was nothing left, the shadowy figure faded back into the shadows. The people sitting in the other seats all shivered in fear. They were all glad they did not disturb the two.

“Thanks, Delia….” Yuki pursed her lips as she took a sip of her wine. She had expected an idiot to show up, but she did not expect it to be from the Celestial Heaven Sect. To encounter one of them so soon.

“Miss….” The waiter from before walked over and called out to Yuki.

“Yes?” Yuki looked up at the man and smiled. “Is there something wrong?”

“No. But I…. I felt I should warn you that more of the Celestial Heaven Sect will probably be here soon. That young man had reserved our biggest private room.” The waiter replied.

“Oh?” Yuki gave a sneaky grin. “Show us to that room. We should say hello to our little friends. Make sure you do not say anything about the other kid’s death. Just bring them to the room as if nothing is wrong. But as soon as you do, run back downstairs.” Yuki stood up after saying this and took out a high-quality spirit stone. “This is for your troubles. Also, if you circulate your spiritual qi in the opposite direction, you will clear the blockage in your meridians.”

Ever since she had advanced, she had been able to sense the flow of people’s qi. She could tell the waiter had a blockage, but it was easily fixed by reversing the flow. The waiter’s eyes reddened as he nodded his head. “Thank you! I will show you to the room now.”

Yuki smiled and followed the waiter. Delia quickly grabbed their wine glasses and the bottle of wine and hurried after them. She knew there was going to be a good show soon. Even the people downstairs knew they were about to see a good show so they began ordering more just so they had an excuse to keep staying there.

The food the girls ordered quickly arrived, and the room was now full of the smell of roasted meat. As the two girls dived into their food, a group of disciples from the Celestial Heaven Sect walked into the restaurant. “Senior Brother said he was going to reserve a room for us, right?”

“Junior Sister Min, don’t worry Brother Fang would never let you down.” The young man next to the girl said with a bright smile. He had a thing for this junior sister in front of him.

“I hope so.” Junior Sister Min put on a pouty face as she followed her fellow sect mates up the stairs. The waiter stopped in front of one of the doors and stepped back. “This is your room.”

“Thank you.” The young man from before nodded and went to open the door. What he did not see was the waiter quickly slipping away and hiding around the corner. There were five people altogether, and they were all chatting happily until the door was fully open, and the two girls inside turned to look at them.

“Who are you!?” Junior Sister Min shouted. When she saw the two mystic races sitting in her room, she immediately became angered.

“You opened our door and asked who we are?” Yuki let out a burp as she wiped her mouth with her hand. “From what I can see, you are part of that Celestial Heaven Sect that is about to be destroyed. Are you sure you don’t want to be at your sect trying to protect it? I mean, I already destroyed your sister sect.”

Yuki’s eyes glowed with a red light as she stood up. Her spirit pressure surged as her aura swept over the five disciples from the Celestial Heaven Sect. The young man knew things were bad and went to grab his junior sister, “Junior Sister! We need to run!”

“Why should I run? It’s just a walking ton….” Junior Sister Min did not even get to finish her sentence when her head suddenly began to tumble through the air. It had not even hit the floor before a red aura stabbed into it and ripped out her soul.

Yuki took the soul in her hand, lifted her head, and opened her mouth wide. She let the dangling soul fall into her mouth and gulped it down. But she soon frowned as she said: “Not tasty at all. I’m not too fond of dirty fish….”
