After two days, the festivities ended. A fox girl and a tiger girl both walked out of the main gates, heading in a certain direction. “When do you think they will attack?” Delia asked as she hugged Yuki’s arm. The two girls did not seem to have any awareness of danger at all.

“They will appear in front of us first. They are too arrogant to sneak attack.” Yuki replied. She was sure of this fact. As a pill sect that had been at the top for so long, there was no way they would suddenly become lambs and want to run away or sneak attack their enemies. That would make them lose face. 

“I don’t think we need to wait long. We have incoming.” Delia suddenly went on guard. It seemed Yuki was right. Yuki and Delia jumped up into the sky and stood there waiting for the enemy’s arrival. 

“You didn’t run.” The muscular man looked at the two young girls calmly, standing in the air as if what was about to happen was a game to them. Behind the muscular man were ten elders from the Celestial Heaven Sect, and behind them were elders from different sects. 

“Why would we run?” Yuki asked in confusion. “We knew you would call for help, but to think you would call about a hundred people here.” Yuki was actually quite surprised. She did not think that they would call so many.

“I know you both are powerful. But now, how powerful you are. My name is Elder Hejijo. I am sure you know already, but I am from the Celestial Heaven Sect. I will give you one chance to surrender, and I promise I will not kill you.”  The muscular man, Hejijo announced. Even though he was saying big words, he was still not very confident.

“Arrogant! Just like I thought!” Yuki replied. “But sorry. My goal is to wipe out your sect and any sect that uses the tonics made from the blood of the mystic races. Did you think that after all this time, the mystic races would not give birth to someone who could take you down? It would be better if you called the old ancestor out now before you lose too many disciples to be called a sect. Not to mention elders.” 

Yuki tilted her head, looked at the elders from other sects, and said: “If you are currying favor, that is all fine and good, but is the favor of a pill sect worth your life?”

“Don’t even think of trying to make us retreat. With all of us here, do you think you can escape!?” One of the elders yelled out.

“If you want to stay, by all means, do. After all…..” Yuki’s aura suddenly changed. Her eyes lit up with a crazed light as she licked her lips. “Your souls will become my nourishment!” 

Elder Hejijo finally realized why he felt this fox girl was strange. Her aura suddenly burst forth with a strange crimson-red glow. Before he could even react, he watched as the aura suddenly became alive and shot forth, stabbing into the elders behind him, ripping their souls right out of their heads before retracting. 

Yuki plucked the first soul that came near her and opened her mouth, sucking it in as if it was some kind of rare treat. “This…. Not bad… Not bad… your soul tasted quite good.” 

The elders from the other sect watched as ten elders from the Celestial Heaven sect fell from the sky after their souls were ripped from their bodies. They all had a cold sweat building up on their back. They realized now that the fox girl had actually given them a warning, a chance to retreat, but they were blinded by greed! 

As some of the elders from the other sects tried to flee, they realized that they had already been trapped as they ran into a barrier that had been set up. “What!? How!?”

“Do you think I have lived so many years for nothing? I get bored and spend my time learning this and that. Barriers are easy to put up without resources if you know how to manipulate your qi. Look, you are trapped, right?” Delia snorted. Did they think she was weak because her Yuki was overpowered?

“This…. We were wrong! Let us go!” One of the sect elders yelled out.

“Hmmm? No? I gave you a chance. What was it…. You said: Ahem! Don’t even think of trying to make us retreat. With all of us here, do you think you can escape!?” Yuki did her best to mimic the elder who shouted earlier. “Today, you will learn not to side with the wrong side. Well…. Maybe you can’t learn it since I will eat your souls….”

 “Kill her! Before she can do anything, kill her!” with no other choice, they all went from begging to wanting to attack. Since they could not escape, they had no choice but to fight. Only Elder Hejijo stood there staring at what was happening before him in shock. He had tried to use one of his escape treasures to leave the barrier, but it shattered in his hands. And he had no treasures to protect his soul this meant he was nothing more than a snack to this fox girl.

As he watched the other elders die one after the other as their souls were plucked from their bodies, he could only sigh. “I guess it's true; once you reach the top, there is only one place to go, and that is down.”
