Rebirth Of Ai
Dropping The Bomb
“Mom? You okay?” I asked while tilting my head to the side. She suddenly reached up and held her head and looked at me with an even more dazed and confused expression.
“Ai….. Are you messing with me?” My mother asked. I could tell she was trying to accept what was being said, but it still seemed hard for her to take in.
“Not in the slightest. I am sure you used the frequency I gave you, right?” My mother nodded her head to my question.
“I was skeptical at first, but after you left and really did not come back, I decided to give it a try. I wanted to see some truth in why you were leaving or maybe figure something out. But in the end, it worked. The frequency worked, and we were even able to make a quantum barrier big enough to hide behind.” My mother replied.
I smiled, walked over, and hugged her waist. “Then trust me now. I promise you that everything I said was true. Everything will happen within a week. I spent the past half a year training Jen and creating a base that will allow us to live in peace for a long time. It will be a safe haven for humanity. But for now, I am only allowing you, Dad, Jen, and her parents to come along, as people will not believe a word we say otherwise. But after shit hits the fan, we can start taking in survivors.”
“Ai, don’t swear!” My mother frowned and flicked my forehead. But afterward, she hugged me tightly. “I will call your father and have him come home right away. What do we need to do?”
“Pack up the things in your room. I will clean out the lab downstairs. We will then clear out anything we do not want to lose in the house. Things that we see as important. There is plenty of space, so just grab whatever. But I have already gotten basically everything else brand new.” I explained as I stepped back and beamed my mother a smile.
“Ai…. The robberies around the state…” It seemed she was finally putting two and two together.
I waved my hand and brought out a few drones that were floating in the air next to me and said: “I created these little babies to go out and do my bidding. They have a quantum space in which they can store things. With the ability to hack and break into anything, they can steal whatever and never be detected. Their quantum invisibility is not something created by humanity yet.”
“I have a lot of words for you but…. If what you say is going to happen, then I will let it slide. I mean, after everything you have shown me, it is kind of hard not to believe.” My mother was much more open-minded than I thought.
With that said, we went about our business and hurried through the house, taking everything we would need. I took everything from the lab except the walls, floor, and ceiling. At around eleven a.m., my father came home. I let my mother do the explaining. And he took it much better than my mother. Although I got my forehead flicked again. Luckily, it didn’t hurt.
“I will take you to the base and settle you both in. From now on we will stay there. I will also set up two labs for you each to do your own things in. You will love it, I am sure.” I smiled as I opened the portal back to the base. Jen walked through first, and then I took my parents through by holding their hands so they would not be nervous. When we arrived just outside the base, my parents were met with a huge rock.
“Ai…. Where is this base?” My mother seemed to be very confused.
“Mom, do you think I would build a base that was easily found?” I raised an eyebrow and motioned with my head toward the portal behind her. “I mean, I just took us a few hours away from the house in an instant, and you are more worried about where the base was.”
I watched as my mother’s cheeks turned red. “After everything I have seen, I just figured it was now normal….”
“Haha!” My father let out a laugh and rubbed my mother’s head. My mother can be quite cute once and a while, I guess.
“Anyway, the base is here.” I waved my hand, and a red light suddenly shot out and scanned me from head to toe. When it finished, the light turned green, and the sound of something turning on could be heard. The rock face suddenly popped out and moved to the side, revealing the base entrance. Fog rose up from the entrance, and colored lights could be seen dancing within the fog. I did not have to do this, but I figured it made it look cooler!
I turned with a bright smile to only get strange looks in return. I pursed my lips and said: “Let’s go!”
I could hear my father giggling behind me. He never said much, but damn, he sure liked to laugh at others. I brought them to the hidden elevator, and we went down to the main floor. From there, we began the grand tour. “Ai…. I noticed that there are many empty rooms but only three rooms. Where is Jen’s room?”
“Hmm? Ahh right! I forgot to tell you. Jen and I are in a relationship. So we only need one room.”
