When we woke up, the two of us headed back to our base. Luckily, we were able to find it quite easily. Of course, I did mark the location on the GPS on my phone. When we arrived, I opened the door once more and walked inside before sealing it back up. We walked down the steps into the darkness with only a flashlight lighting the way. 

Jen hugged my arm as we descended down the stairs and made our way into the main base. “I will be setting up some lights first. Then I will set up a proper bathroom for us.”

I had already set up a deep septic tank made of stone, so I did not need to worry about that. I just needed to set the plumbing up so that it could be used to install a toilet and a bath with a shower. I now had everything I needed, so it would not take long. With a bit of effort, it was not hard to send piping down the hole I originally made in the bathroom. 

With Jen’s help, we quickly got the toilet installed. I ran pex pipe to the toilet and hooked up a bidet, which would come in very handy later when toilet paper was scarce. This piping was then fed to the cold water line I planned to hook up to the water pump and the water heater. 

Within a few hours, we actually had a proper bathroom setup. I did not install a tub since I made one out of stone that was nice and smooth. The drain to this did not need any piping. But I did create a few bends to reduce any smell that might come up. 

“Bathroom is done. With the batteries we have, we can get through the night, and tomorrow night, we will stay at my house. I will be heading to the lab in the city tomorrow to get what we need for our permanent generator.” I had already built a room that was down a long hallway that would house the phase generator. Luckily, it was a safe type of energy that was basically infinite. 

“What are we going to do next?” Jen asked. I could tell she was looking for something to do.

 “We are not doing anything next. You, on the other hand, my little wife, need to get on the treadmill for an hour. Run until you are out of breath and then walk to catch your breath before running again.” I watched as Jen’s lips pursed together. But she did not complain as she walked into the other room. I smiled and went to work finishing up the basic wiring needed for the water heater. 

I also hooked up the temporary ventilation in the bedroom that Jen and I had picked out.  It was a nice large room with the actual bed area hidden from view unless you walked around the corner of a small inlet I made. You could walk in and see the large room, but the bed would not be in view. It was a nice little touch. There was also a bathroom here as well, but I did not plan to hook it up until I had the phase generator set up. The bathroom I just finished was for everyone. The private baths would only be in a few rooms.

The wiring I used to run from the ventilation system to the battery was crude at best, but it should at least run for twenty-four hours without any problem. Once I set up a proper breaker box, things will be much safer than they are now.

While it made seem crude for the time being, just to stay here comfortably for the night, we were pretty well set up. We had hot water and a toilet, unlike the last time when we had to go outside to go to the bathroom or use bottled water to wash ourselves off. 

I set up a fan in the door to the bedroom to circulate the air better. I also put up some CO2 detectors to be sure we were not killing ourselves. I will have a much better system later, but for now, this was not too bad.

“Jen, let’s have lunch.” I walked into the room Jen was in working out and saw the poor girl sweating away. Seeing her like this, a thought came to mind as I said: “Maybe a shower first?”

“Okay.” Jen nodded and stopped the treadmill. She walked over to me, took my hand, and pulled me along to the bathroom. I guess she planned for me to join her! 

We walked into the bathroom, where Jen quickly stripped down, giving me a beautiful sight. I did not lag behind either before stripping off my clothes. I took out a few towels, shampoo, and some soap and placed them to the side before turning the shower on and letting it run. 

When I felt the hot water running nicely, I let out a sigh of relief. “Nice and hot. Jen, go in first and rinse off. I will join you in a sec.” 

“Ai, will you wash my hair for me?” Jen asked as she stepped into the shower. 

“If you want my princess,” I said teasingly, causing her to blush. I took some skin care products out of my inventory, along with some toothpaste and toothbrushes. I figured I would take them out now while I remembered. 

When I was done, I jumped in the shower with Jen and hugged her waist. As soon as our eyes met, Jen leaned in and kissed my lips, which led to a much longer, more sensual kiss. Kissing my little wife naked was not bad at all. It was just too bad things were a bit too soon to go further. Jen had made no sign of wanting to go further than kissing as well, so until she was ready, I did not plan to cross any red lines.
