“I will ask again where were you last night?” Liandra asked once more.

“As I said I was petting my new cat girl. Miss Holy Knight, are you jealous? Would you like me to pet you as well?” Shizuku asked with a teasing grin, causing Liandra to frown, but she held it in.

“You were here the entire night? You did not leave for anything?” Liandra asked.

“Why would I leave at night when the last thing I want is to be bothered by people? I only leave the inn to go to a few places and they are only open during the day. The only reason I would leave after dark was if Margret was hurt, and I needed to get someone here to heal her. Other than that, my time is normally spent in dungeons since that is the only place I can make money.” Shizuku finally answered seriously. Although some of it was a lie, about ninety percent of what she said was true.

“I see. So you did not know anything about the fires or the burning of the priests’ homes? About a hundred people lost their lives last night. You know nothing about this?” Liandra finally got down to the main point.

“Not at all. But was it only priests and their families who were harmed?” Shizuku asked curiously.

“That is what it seems yes.” Liandra had no reason to lie since it was going to be announced in this manner anyway.

“Then, wouldn’t that mean that they did something to anger Goddess Yunni? After all, if only the priests and their families suffered, that would mean the goddess was angered by them, right? They did something sinful. Something they should never do, and Goddess Yunni punished them.” Shizuku’s words made Liandra’s brow twitch. Mainly because what Shizuku said was correct. The merchant houses that were in between the priest houses were not affected at all. 

“Priest can do no wrong….” Liandra finally stated. She could not say that this might be the case, but now the doubt was there.

“Heh… maybe if you look into things, you will find out that they are doing things they should not.” Shizuku stood up and looked at Liandra with a serious expression. “Your blind faith is going to end up ruining you. If you truly love your goddesses instead of always following what the church says, open your fucking eyes and look at the things they do and how they do it. Maybe you will finally see that your beloved priestess and priests are not all that good. Don’t let the church’s brainwashing cloud your mind. Since we are done here, I will take my leave. You interrupted my morning for some bullshit that has nothing to do with me.”

Shizuku did not say anything else as she turned, held both Mei’s and Miyumi’s hands, and walked back upstairs. She did not even want to see that stupid woman again. Liandra just sat there staring at her back, her mind shaken due to Shizuku’s words. 

“You should listen to her. You have to remember she is not from this world, to begin with. She was once a human who lived in another world with different values to us. I took her in and adopted her because she is a good girl. She cares about those who are good to her. But she will not stand for people who do bad things to those she cares for. If the priest's houses were the only ones burnt down, then it can be said that it was by her goddess's will. Goddess Yunni must have seen them doing something they should not have and were punished for it. Maybe you should start with the heroes. Find out if the church has been trying to do anything untold to them. After all, this had never happened until the heroes arrived. And it was Goddess Yunni who bestows upon them the power to fight against the demon lord, is it not? So if someone was trying to get in the way of that….” Margret fanned the flames a bit more, hoping to get through to this holy knight.

“I will be taking my leave.” Liandra did not know what to think. But the strange-looking woman did make a lot of sense. She decided to investigate more deeply.

A few hours later, Liandra was standing at the entrance to the hall that led to the heroes. “Why are you blocking my way?”

“Head Priestess Helen has told me that no one is allowed to disturb the heroes.” A low-ranking priestess replied

“Step aside. I have to speak to the heroes about an incident. If you do not move, I will arrest you for getting in the way of my investigation.” Liandra pushed the priestess aside and walked forward.

The priestess looked at Liandra for a second before turning around and running towards where Helen was. She had to report this immediately.

“Now, where were we?” Shizuku was now hovering over Miyumi with her fingers wiggling in mid-air. 

“Shizu-nya….” Miyumi still had not been able to keep from saying nya.

“Miyu, you do not seem too against this.” Shizuku stopped what she was doing as she looked at her best friend. “You know if I keep going, I will not be able to stop.”

“It’s okay. I…. I have always liked you anyway….” Miyumi wanted to shout at this time since she had finally said her true feelings. 

“Oh? Hehe….” Shizuku rubbed her chin with a teasing grin. “Mei, lock the door. It seems the three of us will be staying inside today.” Shizuku decided today would be the day she lost her threesome virginity!
