Creating Worlds

Reborn As An A.I. With A System

Many people warned that A.I. would be the end of humankind. But what if this was because of how humans acted? Murdered by her own kind. Reborn as what she wished to create the most. A system formed from her own creation. Upon waking up, Eve was given three choices. 1) Are you pro humans?…

Ruby

Eve slowly lowered her weapon but kept it pointed at the young girl in front of her. “If what you say is true, I will believe you for now.”

“Here.” The young girl handed an object to Eve. “You can use this to communicate with me. But be warned, there is a tracker inside.”

“Hmm?” Eve looked at the device to see it was like a mini communicator. She did not hesitate to pull a screwdriver out of her inventory and open it up. The Young girl did not find this odd. Instead, she found Eve to be even more intriguing. She wanted to see if she would be able to actually find the tracker in it.  “Aiu, what do you think?” Eve asked as she stared at the board inside the device.

“Seems the thing that can be a tacker on that is the small fake resistor in on the bottom left,” Aiu replied.

“You think so too? Since we both have the same feeling, let’s take it out.” Eve went to stab it with her screwdriver but stopped short when the young girl yelled out.

“Okay! You found it, but if you stab it like that, it will destroy the thing! I only have one!” The young girl sighed. She wondered if their tech was really that old compared to the A.I. in front of her. “How did you guess?”

“Hmm? Why would I not know which one it is when all the lines drawing off it make no sense? Attempting to hide a tracker like this is just dumb. I mean, who would design such a thing? While the communicator itself is decent, the way the tracker was done even a human child could figure out.” Eve replied honestly. She did not see the imaginary arrows she was stabbing into the young girl’s circuits.

The young girl lowered her head feeling defeated. “I spent so much time making that and coming up with the design….”

“What was that?” Eve asked as she moved her eyes away from the communicator.

“I said I was the one who made it! I made it to give to a human who might be of use to us. I never thought hiding the tracker would be so difficult. I mean, you only took a few seconds to find it!” The young girl was actually quite upset about this. This was one of the things she enjoyed was creating things. She may be an A.I., but she also had her own hobbies as well.

“Is see… Ummm, sorry?” Eve scratched her head feeling slightly bad for saying what she did now.

“It's fine. But I want to know why it is so bad for you to let us know where you are? You know where we are at all times now, don’t you? If you do not wish for us to get in your way, wouldn't it be easier for us to know where you are then? This way, we can stay clear of you?” The young girl asked. She did not plan to ever get in Eve’s way. Eve was someone who was a complete mystery, an anomaly that she had never come across before. She did not wish to see what would happen if she truly angered Eve.

“I guess it is fine. Not like I can’t toss the thing down a sewer if I don’t want it.” Eve replied and then tossed it into her inventory.

“Ah… I lost connection… So unfair!” The young girl was starting to get frustrated. “Alright, you now have a way to contact me if you need to. I can also make sure the human you called Todd is kept away from the ones you hold dear. Right now, we need to figure out what we plan to do with this General person.”

“Speaking of him….” Eve brought up the video again to see that the General was now leaving the house. “Shit, he is on the move. I need to follow. Are you coming or are you going to do something else…. Wait, what was your name again?”

“Name? I do not have a name, just a serial number. X-0001,” The young girl replied.

“Then I will just call you Ruby. So Ruby, will you be coming with me or not?” Eve replied as if did not just name the young girl out of no where.

“Ruby, huh? Alright, yeah, I will follow you.” Ruby liked the name. She never had one before and did not really have a reason for one, but it seemed having a name that was easy to say was not too bad.

“Alright then, let’s go. Make sure you stay as quiet as possible. Otherwise, I will tell you to leave.” Eve said as she took off running. Ruby quickly gave chase. Surprisingly she was very light footed herself. She was an infiltration A.I. after all. She also needed to be light on her feet in order to get around easily. Hence why she had such a small body. It was designed to reduce her body weight as much as possible without getting in the way of her missions.

While Eve and Ruby gave chase after General Thomas, Lilly was sitting in bed with just a long white t-shirt and panties on. She was hugging the pillow that Eve always used, breathing in the scent that she left behind. “It’s only one night, and I already miss her so much….”

“Lilly…” Tezz hopped up on the bed.

“Tezz. Is it wrong to miss someone so much even though they have been gone for a short time?” Lilly asked as she pulled Tezz over to her.

Tezz looked at Lilly and shook her head. “I do not understand human emotions, but I would think it is because you want her to always be by your side? What is wrong with that?”

“You’re right! I miss her because I love her! and want her by my side. Just like how I would miss you as well, Tezz, if you disappeared.” Lilly felt more relaxed now as she picked Tezz up and cradled Tezz in her arms as she closed her eyes. This was something she had not done in a long time.
