“What you just said is very true. I do not know what will happen, so let’s hope we do not ever need to experience such a thing.”  Eve shivered at the thought of having two hers. She had a hard enough time dealing with her own situation, never mind dealing with two of hers. 

Eve took a deep breath and placed her hand on her new head. “Store Head Prototype Alpha 00001.” With a flash of light, The head that was sitting on the table disappeared. 

*Crash!*

“Where… Where did it go!?” Lilly cried out. She had seen Eve do this many times, but this was the first time since Eve came to her home, and it was the first time seeing up close like this.

Eve turned and looked at Lilly, who was sitting there completely stupefied. “Ahh… This… It’s a little hard to explain, so ummm… Don’t be too shocked at what happens next…” 

Eve had already clicked her head in her inventory, and thankfully the thing she wanted to see the most had appeared. The words auto equip in white letters appeared before her. Eve inwardly took a deep breath and closed her eye before hitting the button. 

Everything happened in an instant. Lilly sat staring in shock at the girl in front of her.  Red eyes, two red horns, a pretty face, and long blonde hair. She was very pretty. It was also at this moment that Lilly felt her heart begin to beat rapidly. Her cheeks blushed and she quickly looked away afraid her heart was about to burst. She had no idea why her heart was racing so much. She felt it was very strange yet warm at the same time.

“Oh! Not bad!” Eve looked in the mirror and poked her face. “Hmmm… the touch sensors are working pretty well. Although it feels odd to touch my own face and only able to feel my face being touched and not my finger touching my face. But that should be fixed soon! Lilly, your idea to use microwires mixed in with the skin in order to simulate touch was ingenious. So what do you think? Am I pretty now?” 

Eve turned around to see Lilly turning her head away seemingly not willing to even look at Eve. “Hmm? Lilly, you okay, your face is red.”

Even walked over and placed her forehead against Lilly’s to check her temperature and also to check her ability to feel temperature. “Hmm… You're kind of warm.”

Lilly was currently screaming inside. She wished Eve would not torture her like this! She was having weird thoughts right now and none of them were decent! “I-I am fine… Please back up a little…”

“Huh? Oh! Sorry.” Eve backed up and pursed her lips. Yes she could finally really purse her lips. “Anyway, tell me how is it?”

Lilly took a deep breath and slowly let  it out to calm her emotions before turning her head and looking at Eve. As soon as her eyes locked with Eve’s face, her mind went blank. “Beautiful…” The word slipped right out of her mouth.

“Hehe! Really? I knew I had good taste!” Eve was very happy with this comment. “You hear that Aiu, she said I was beautiful! This means the body I made for you was absolutely drop dead gorgeous!”

“If you say so. I do not understand humans' fascination with looks. At the end of the day, looks are not what makes a person smart. You, yourself, were forced to jump in the shower by me. If I did not tell you to shower, you would have gone months without one! Your hair was always a mess, your clothes were wrinkled and unkempt. You always walked around in a big white lab coat, a t-shirt, and a pair of panties while holding a cup of coffee. I remember you saying at that time you were also beautiful when arguing with me about changing clothes. If I recall correctly, it was: As someone who already has too much to do and so little time, changing clothes is just a waste of time. Plus, even if I wear the same thing day in and day out, I am still very beautiful!”

“Aiu! You have no romance! It’s the fact that my head is what I planned to have my cute little Aiu walk around with. But now we both get to use the same head, so it’s kind of win win don’t you think?” Eve completely ignored everything Aiu said about her as if it was never said in the first place. Eve was very good at her selective hearing. Aiu wished she had eyes she could roll at this time and hands to spank Eve with. She always ignored the important things!

Aiu sighed to herself before saying: “It is indeed pretty.”

“See! I knew you would like it. It’s just that my taste function seems a bit off, but I will deal with that later. All I can taste right now is metal.” Eve licked her lips, but everything seemed to taste metallic. She saw that once her head had changed, her window updated with a new statistics setting for her head. Meaning she could adjust the parameters of all her systems in her head through her Astral system.

“Ummm… Eve…” Lilly finally spoke up after breaking out of her stupor. 

“Hmm? What’s up?” Eve titled her head to the side, waiting for Lilly to ask her question.

“Is there any chance you can explain how you put her new head on without actually putting it on?” No matter how much she thought about it, what Eve did just now was absolutely impossible. It defied all known science. 

“Ahah… Ummm… How do I explain this…” Eve gave a dry laugh. “Aiu, what do you think? Should I just tell her? I mean, she will be around us for a long time, and I am one to not be discreet a lot of times.”
