Soul Fusion Magas System
Leaving The Abyss Part 1
Days passed, and Sora killed and fought monsters head on as his stats steadily climbed. He would collect ten souls a day or more and then, with Yumi’s help, fuse with them, granting him strength beyond his own realm. This was what made the soul fusion magas system powerful. As long as one consumed souls, they would steadily grow in strength even if they were at a low realm.
A week passed, and at this moment, Sora finished another round of soul fusion. Yumi’s cheeks were red as she quickly turned around and sat in Sora’s lap. “Let’s check your progress.”

“You are now as strong as a rank five novice mage. Your ability to fight with rank one monsters has also progressed well. For now, I would suggest we leave this place at some point. Staying down here too long is not good for your body.” Yumi had only kept Sora down in this dark abyss for so long because it was a good place for him to grow stronger. But to really advance, he would need to change his surroundings.
“Let’s see. I have all basic everyday spells and three attack spells. Fireball, ice spear, and wind blade. Yumi, you said I can not learn more than three attack spells?” Sora asked.
“Yes, at your realm, you can only learn three. Even the soul fusion magas system can not extend past this limit. It is because your ability to sense magicules has yet to advance. As you advance more, you can cast more spells.” Yumi explained.
“I see. So when should I leave?” Sora was unsure if he should rest a bit before leaving or leave right away.
“You can leave when you are ready. So any time.” Yumi replied.
“I will rest awhile first and make sure I am in top condition before heading out.” Sora decided. He figured it was better to be safe than sorry.
Yumi nodded and stood up before going behind Sora and sat on her legs. She then pulled Sora’s head onto her lap. “Then please rest well.” Sora smiled and hugged Yumi’s waist and closed his eyes. He truly enjoyed this kind of pampering.
A few hours later, Sora was standing outside the crevice. Most of the monsters in this underground world had been killed either by other monsters or Sora. But Sora was still altered to his surroundings. He had gained a good perception of things around him and killing intent that was directed at him. This was one of the reasons he had been able to move around so easily in the dark.
Sora followed the river back the way he came. Only stopping when he came to the spot he had woken up in. He looked around, and father down the river bed up on the ceiling of the cavern he was in was a stream of light piercing down into the darkness. But when he saw the position of where the light was, he frowned. “Yumi, how am I supposed to exit this place when the entrance is in a place I can not reach?”
“You will need to build a path up. The best way to do it is to break apart the wall. Or you can even use your fireballs to attack the ceiling making the hole bigger. If you did this, you might be able to get the ceiling to cave in and allow you easier access up.”
Sora frowned. “Yumi, what if this causes a huge cave in?”
“This is why you do it from a distance. If the ceiling begins to crumble, you can run out of danger fast. Then it is only breaking the rock until you see the new exit you created.” Yumi explained. She knew the ceiling would most likely cave in, but if he is using magic at a distance, he can easily stay out of harm’s way.
“And what would be considered a safe distance?” Sora asked.
“Probably back to where you first woke up. You will just have to get into a position that allows you to target the edge of the entrance. With the current power of your fireballs, this should work just right if you fire a few off in succession.”
Sora sighed, hearing Yumi’s explanation. “I guess I won’t know until I try.”
Sora quickly got himself into position. He was currently lying on the ground with his hand pointed up at the entrance. He took a deep breath and slowly let it out before finally pulling up his hot bar and firing off four fireballs in a row. The fireballs soared through the air until each one slammed into the entrance to the cavern one after the other. A loud explosion was heard and the sound of rocks falling down, but when the dust cleared, Sora frowned, seeing that not much damage was done. “That loud of an explosion, and that is all that happened?”
*Crack!* *Crunch!*
“Umm… Sora run!” Yunmi yelled out.
No sooner as Sora jumped up to run away did large rocks start falling from the ceiling. One after the other, in huge chunks, the ceiling came crashing down. The rate and speed it was breaking apart was so fast that Sora almost had no chance to escape as the ceiling above him gave way. “What the hell! I know I complained, but this is a little too much!” Sora yelled out.
He truly did not mean for the whole damn place to cave in! He only wanted a small section! But it seemed the gods of this world had other plans for him. Sora had no choice but to run as fast as he could. Even the demonic beasts that were left were doing the same. With how quickly things were falling, they would all be crushed if they did not move! “Sora, you won’t make it! Find a place to duck under!”
“Where am I going to find such a convenient… Oh! Spotted!”
