Destroyed buildings… A landscape stained in blood. On a lone mountain, an old man stood with a shovel in his hand. Around him were many mounds, all of which were occupied by fallen disciples. “Sect Master!”

Yuki slowly landed on the ground, her aura now much greater than it was just a few days ago. The old man looked up at the young woman, who now had 9 tails swaying behind her. The aura she gave off surprised him since it was greater than his own. “Yuki, you?”

“I am now in what is called the nascent soul realm. The true path of cultivators. You can say I have jumped to the top of this realm.” Yuki understood what her sect master was getting at. 

“I never even knew there was another path….” Yuki sect master was stunned. He had never heard of anyone mentioning this.

“I can give you the correct method to change to the correct path. But it will require the disciples to reach the universal core stage and create primordial cores instead of a normal core.” Delia stepped forward and explained. 

“Thank you…. Please pass it on to my disciple…. I will not be following you to the mainland. Haruhi can take my spot. She has been taught everything I can teach her anyway.” Yuki’s sect master looked at the mass of graves with an expression of grief. It seemed losing so many disciples was hard on him.

“No, you will come with us. Those who survived need you there to help stabilize things. We will help you finish burying the dead. Once we are done, we will set up a barrier around the sect and seal this place off. This way, you can still come back and tend to the graves in the future. Do not let those who died feel grief because you did not wish to move on. If you sat here and withered away, you would not be making those who died happy. You need to move on and work hard to make up for the thousands of lives that were lost. Plus…. Master will be reborn at some time. How would she feel if she saw you like this?” Yuki looked at Delia, who nodded. Her shadow grew, and an egg suddenly popped out. Yuki caught it and held it out to her sect master.

“This is…. Hana?” Yuki’s sect master’s hands trembled as he gently caressed the egg. He knew right away from the aura that it was his old friend. 

“Master will be in this state for a long time. One day, she will come back to us, and you will be able to see her again. Until then, I will watch over her. It is my duty as her disciple, after all.” Yuki did think about handing her Master over to the sect master, but the more she thought about it, the more she was reluctant to do so. If something happened and she was not around, how would she be able to deal with it?

“Good… Good! I am glad you think this way. She did not dote on you for nothing. I will go with you both. You are right. Sitting here will accomplish nothing. And I wish to see our sect grow in fame. I will be counting on you to keep Haruhi safe until she is powerful enough to deal with things on her own.” Yuki’s sect master seemed to come to life after seeing that Elder Nishikawa was safe. 

“You can count on that. I do not plan to advance to the next realm until the day I see our Heavenly Cloud Sect standing at the peak of this world. Plus, I still have a certain sect to take care of.” Yuki couldn’t help but release a bit of murderous aura when she thought about the Celestial Heaven Sect. She couldn’t wait to wipe them out completely.

“Good! Good! Our Heavenly Cloud Sect is blessed to have such a disciple like you.” Yuki’s sect master was brought to tears as he looked at the fox girl.

“The Heavenly Cloud Sect is my home. It is where I grew up. I will not let it down.” Yuki replied warmly. “Let’s get to work finishing these graves. Delia will put up a barrier after we are done.” 

While Yuki was busy helping her sect master, Haruhi was meeting with a few people from the Dragon Sect. “My name is Finland. I am a core disciple of the Dragon Sect. My sect master asked me to bring a few of my fellow disciples to help guard your sect until you can get it fully established. This mountain range was part of our territory and is now yours to do with as you please.”

“Huh? Are you sure!?” Haruhi was confused. She did not know why they were suddenly giving them such a large piece of land.

“Of course. This is mainly because your sect has helped us greatly but caused chaos in the Celestial Heaven Sect by destroying one of its subsidiary sects on the other continent. On top of that, your sect has wiped out every sect on the continent that was targeting the mystic races. Our sect master thinks very highly of your sect. ” Finland replied. “You can rest at ease and do as you see fit. This mountain range is now yours.”
