With Takeichi’s match over and Rin giving up, there were only a few more outer sect disciples who stepped up to try their luck. Sadly they were beaten pretty badly. The sect master floated up in the air and looked around and smiled. “We have seen many fights in the past few days. Everyone did well. Competition is a good thing but one must play fair within the sect. If I catch anyone daring to use despicable means to get a leg up within the sect, I will personally cripple your cultivation and douse you in morning dust before tossing you out in a pack of demonic beasts.”

All the disciples’ faces paled when they heard this. Morning Dust was a kind of powder that was used for mating demonic beasts! If they were covered in it, they would become the mate! Many of the male disciples quickly covered their butts. Just the thought of it sent chills down their spines.

Everyone flew back to the sect, where Elder Nishikawa quickly swept Nana and Yuki away. She carried both of them to her mountain peak. “Yuko is in here.” Elder Nishikawa pushed open a door. Yuko was passed out, but she looked perfectly fine. Elder Nishikawa made sure to heal her face so that the old man would not die from fright. The whole purpose of this was to do an eye for an eye. Yuko had wanted to drug Yuki and turn her into a crazed sex slave, then she would need to face the consequences of such action.

“Will she even wake up?” Yuki asked. She walked over and poked Yuko in the cheek.

“Yes, she is currently out knocked out since I sealed her acupoints. I also crippled her cultivation so she would not be able to escape the old man. I also made a little simulant to get his passion going as well.” Elder Nishikawa paused for a moment before saying, “Since you are now inner sect disciples, you will be allowed to wander out on your own without being on a mission but….. You cannot wander until you have at least become a rank 2 alchemist. You need to be able to take care of yourself while out and about. Not to mention a rank two alchemist is enough to make a kingdom show you the same respect as a king. But you can also use it to check out the pill sects.” 

Elder Nishikawa wanted to give the two girls the means of actually entering these sects to gather information. As long as they were careful, they could not only learn the pill sects’ techniques but also maybe even find some of their clansmen. “I will give you both a two-year limit here in the sect. You can still go out to do missions but only in the new disguise technique that I will be teaching you. There is also the dragon festival that you will both enter. The top ten can actually soak in the mystic pools.”

“Mystic pools?” Yuki asked. She wondered what they did.

“They are a hot spring that is infused with spiritual qi. Soaking in them will strengthen one’s body. The best thing about it is that the spiritual qi is very pure.” Elder Nishikawa explained.

“Then I guess we will need to get into the top ten then.” Yuki was a little excited. If she could soak in one of these hot springs, she would be able to gain more strength. How much she did not know, but even a tiny bit was fine for her.

“You will need to in order to gain a spot. If you want to win, then you both need to at least reach the first Astral Star. This means no more messing around. I know it will be hard, but you two have a way of speeding up your cultivation by leaps and bounds.” Elder Nishikawa gave the two a meaningful look. If they wanted to protect themselves, they would need to gain strength. And that strength can be gained quickly with the right tools. “So from now on, you two will stay on this mountain peak. When you are not learning how to refine pills, you will be dual cultivating in your room. I already set up a place for you on the other side of the mountain. You can not leave this peak for anything but simple missions to meet your monthly quota.” 

Elder Nishikawa knew she could no longer baby these girls. She needed them to take steps by leaps and bounds to gain strength. Of course, it will need to be done naturally as well. “You only have a year’s time to reach the next realm.”

The pressure was on. Yuki looked at Nana, who was looking at her, and blushed. She knew that they would not be able to cultivate in clothing…. The stimulation of dual cultivation is too intense.

Yuki closed her eyes and took a deep breath before clenching her fists. “Don’t worry, we will progress quickly.”

“Good, that is what I like to hear. Now then. Take a break for the time being. Wash up and get ready for a wild show tonight. You can find your new homes by following the path there. We will clean your old immortal cave out tomorrow morning.” Elder Nishikawa pointed at a path just out side the window that led into the woods. There was on a single path that was cleared out quite well, so there was no way they could get lost along the way.
