Legend Of Yuki: The Wrath Of The Tailed Asura
Dragon Breath
Takeichi gritted his teeth and gripped his sword. He could not let Nana get to him. He charged forward as he had planned in hopes of getting Nana to put up her smoke screen. He had watched her fight. She would always smash the ground at this coming towards her to create a large amount of debris to block her opponent’s view.
Nana’s lips curled up as she whispered softly: “Heaven’s Enlightenment.” After saying these two words Nana tapped the ground and then disappeared.
Takeichi skidded to a stop and blinked his eyes. He did not even see his target anymore! “Damn it!” Takeichi tried to calm himself down. He relaxed his sense and could feel Nana’s presence. He quickly swung his sword to his back and blocked the blow that was about to hit him.
*Clang!*
The sound of metal against metal was heard. Takeichi had to admit one thing. Nana’s strength was far above his! But how was he supposed to know Nana was from the mystic races? She was a dragon girl whose strength was far greater than a normal human’s.
Nana did not care that her attack was blocked. She quickly jumped back. She felt as light as a feather. This was the second level of her movement technique. It lightened her body and worked well with her sword technique. She was not as fast as Yuki, but she felt she could at least keep up with the girl she loved now.
Takeichi was also no pushover. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. “Looks like I can no longer hold back.” Takeichi waved his hand, and his sword began to float in the air. He smiled slightly as he infused his spiritual qi into his sword. Arcs of lightning began to form across its surface and danced around it in a wide range. “Junior Sister, be careful!”
Nana’s brow furrowed as she saw the lightning infused sword suddenly flying at her. It was so fast that she knew she could not outrun it! She had no choice but to raise her sword and take the attack head on!
*Clang!*
Takeichi’s sword and Nana’s sword collided. Nana could feel her hair sticking up all over her body as the lightning began to run across her sword and up her arms. She gritted her teeth and stomped her foot hard as she yelled out: “Heavenly Suppression!”
*Boom!*
Nana had used a lot of spiritual qi to force the sword that Takeichi was using to slam into the ground causing a small crater to form. Arcs of lightning still danced around, causing her to have to jump back out of the sword’s range. Her whole body felt numb. If she was not a dragon girl, she was sure she would have been defeated then and there!
Takeichi was quite surprised. He never thought that Nana would be able to take his full on attack head on like that. Lightning was his trump card, and combined with his flying sword technique, it was unbeatable, or so he thought. He did not know what kind of body fortification method Nana was using, but to ward off his lightning in her cultivation realm was already an amazing feat.
“I guess I will need to try that.” Takeichi did not want to use this attack. It was his final trump card. He did not like showing it to people. He had only ever used it on missions when he needed to kill strong demonic beasts. Mainly because he only had a short time frame in which he could use the technique fully. He took a deep breath before suddenly saying: “Lightning Infusion!”
Nana watched as Takeichi’s body suddenly glowed with a silver light. Seconds later, she saw lightning wrapping around his body and arcing out in all directions. He then shot forward towards her. She smiled as she said: “You are not the only one with tricks.”
Nana’s lips curled up as she sucked in a deep breath and leaned forward while opening her mouth slightly. “Dragon’s Breath!”
Takeichi wanted to cry. He did not know Nana knew flame attacks! He only saw a blue flame rolling at him like a wave on the ocean. He wanted to break and cut to the right, but it was already too late. He was moving too fast and would not stop in time to change directions.
“I give up!” Takeichi had no choice. He had to take the defeat. He saw a large barrier form around him as the flames swept over it. He couldn’t help but feel slightly fearful of these flames. He realized if he tried to face it head on, he would have turned into ash. Even within the barrier, he could feel the heat of the flames.
The flames slowly died down as Nana stopped them. Once she let them out, she had to wait for them to finish before she could close her mouth. She stood there with her large sword resting on her shoulder with a smile on her face. She could now fight with Yuki!
“You kids have really grown. Not bad.” The sect master walked over. “The stage is slightly melted, but we can fix that.”
The sect master knew that Nana did not use any kind of technique just now. That was her inherited skills from her race. He did not realize this little girl had progressed this far. Her blue flames were already this hot. It had mettled the stone on the stage into magma.
Luckily Elder Nishikawa was kind enough to fix the stage again. If it was her disciples, she did not mind. But she was very happy to see Nana’s progress.
