After saying their goodbyes to Elder Nishikawa, the two girls left the mountain peak and began walking down the path toward the Dragon Tower. They still had quite a bit of time left there, and they wanted to make good use of it. 

Nana held Yuki’s hand as they walked, their fingers interlocked. They both had a light blush on their cheeks as they were still getting used to being so intimate like this. Before, holding the other’s hand did not hold much greater meaning but now it was different. 

“So dual cultivation….” Yuki mumbled. She never thought she would be dual cultivating with anyone. But if it was Nana, she felt it would be fine. Of course, she was not ready for what came after the third stage of the cultivation method just yet but the first three stages were not all that bad.

Nana gripped Yuki’s hand. She felt slightly nervous about the dual cultivation thing. “Are we really going to do it?”

“Mmm… I mean, why not, right? It will make us both that much stronger. And you will benefit even more since you will get twice as much spiritual qi from me. We will be able to grow at a much faster rate. Plus, it will allow us to be bound to one another. I kind of like the sound of that. If you are ever kidnapped or lost someplace, I will always know where you are and can come save you at any time.” Yuki replied as she leaned her body against Nana. 

“I think if anyone was kidnapped, it would be you. After all, you are small and cute. Perfect for kidnapping.” Nana teased, causing Yuki to stick her tongue out at her.

“Well, I can say for sure a tall beauty such as yourself is just as desirable.” Especially if it was Earth, with Nana’s natural beauty and slim figure along with how tall she was, she could have been a model easily. Yuki’s words made Nana blush. She liked it when Yuki praised her looks.

“We will start the new method tonight. For now, let’s make use of the dragon tower to….” Yuki stopped her steps and let go of Nana’s hand, and grabbed the hilt of her sword. “Come out! I know you are there, Elder Shoji!”

“Tch… You got keen senses for a little fate star.” Elder Shoji walked out from the shadows with one hand behind his back and the other stroking his beard. He looked at the two girls and noticed they were both on the defensive. “Calm down. I will not attack you in the sect. Only an idiot would do that. I came here because I want you to do me a favor. If you do this favor for me, we will leave the past behind and call it even. I will no longer target you or your friends.” 

Elder Shoji’s words seemed like he was talking nonsense, but his last sentence held a threat. He was making it seem like Yuki and Nana had done something to anger him, and he was being generous and allowing bygones to be bygones if they did him a single favor.

“Haha.” Yuki let out a chuckle as she gripped the hilt of her sword. “Swift Slash !” Since he was not willing to attack, she would! She already held a major grudge against this man!

Elder Shoji was completely caught off guard when Yuki suddenly attacked. He never thought that the damned girl would even think of attacking him in the sect. After all, he was an elder!

“You!” Elder Shoji quickly put up a barrier of spiritual qi around him, but what he did not expect was that not only was Yuki courageous enough to attack him so was the girl next to her! 

“Heavenly Suppression!” Nana held nothing back and activated her gravity based attack, which slammed into Elder Shoji, who blocked the blow with his arm. He just never expected that the weight of her sword would be so heavy!

“Ants!” Elder Shoji roared as he went to strike back, but both girls were quick in their retreat. “You dare to attack me, an elder of the sect!? You are courting death! No one will blame me for killing you now!”

“Oh? You plan to kill disciples of the sect Elder Shoji?” A voice came from above. It was not Elder Nishikawa but Haruhi. She was standing there with her hands behind her back, her blue robes flickering in the wind. “You do realize that even threatening the two of them is against sect rules, right?”

“Haruhi, stay out of this! A little girl like you might not know this, but the sect rules are something that even you can not interfere with. They both attacked an elder of the sect without cause, they can be killed or crippled as I see fit according to the rules. Since both attacked with the intent to kill, then I will kill them now!.” Elder Shoji yelled out righteously. He turned and went to strike out at Yuki, but before he could, he suddenly felt as if he was suffocating. He turned and looked up at the girl who was standing in the air with a smile on her lips. She was staring at him with eyes that were like a black abyss. It was as if she was staring into his soul.

“I think I already said you can not touch them. What part of my words did you not understand? You do realize the only reason you are alive right now is because my Master is holding back Elder Nishikawa. As a minor elder of the sect, you even dare to attack other elders’ disciples. If you knew the sect rules so well, how come you are attacking disciples who are direct disciples of a grand elder?” Haruhi’s eyes flashed coldly as she asked in a monotone voice: “Who gave you the right to change the rules!?”
