Legend Of Yuki: The Wrath Of The Tailed Asura
Fix The Stage
The entire battle stage had been destroyed. A large cloud of dust and debris filled the air. The sect master had no choice but to wave his hand and clear the air. What was revealed was Yuki standing on a piece of dirt while Rin was barely balancing on a piece of the stage. Rin’s eyes opened wide. She never thought she would be able to win this way! She threw her hands up into the air and yelled out: “I won!”
“Ahem….” Yuki rubbed her nose. “Senior sister, look closer.”
Rin’s happy smile froze. Her eyes slowly lowered toward Yuki’s feet. She quickly realized the shadow seemed to be 0ff. “This…. What!? You are floating!?”
“Mm… I stopped just before hitting the ground.” Yuki replied. “So right now, I can still attack.”
“No! You can’t!” Rin quickly jumped off the piece of stage. She knew when to tap out. “You win. I am unable to use my techniques anymore. And even if I could, I would not be able to last much longer. It took a lot of spiritual qi to hide for so long, but no matter how much I thought about it, I can not defeat you with that movement technique.” Flying swords were not allowed in the tournament to make things fair, but movement techniques were different.
“Haha! You two….” The sect master clapped his hands. He looked at the two girls and smiled. “You two will need to fix the stage.”
Rin wanted to cry. She had not expected the sect master to make them repair the stage! “This…. Sect master, isn’t this a little unfair? Junior sister does not have any elements. She can’t even do anything with the earth.”
“Then next time, don’t make her destroy it to make you come out!” The sect master snorted before turning around. He could have one of the elders do it, but he needed to teach these kids a lesson. No destroying his things!
Rin could only bite her lip and start going to work. She not only lost the match but was also now being forced to fix the stage that she did not destroy. Yuki felt bad and began picking up parts of the stage. But she had no idea how she was going to put this back together. With all the tiny pieces, it would take a few years to do.
Elder Nishikawa snorted and waved her hand. There was no way she would allow Yuki to rebuild a stage. The ground under Yuki and Rin’s feet began to rise as a new stone battle stage was formed. “There, it’s fixed. You girls go rest.”
“Thank you, Master!” Yuki smiled and bowed her head. Rin also did the same. She felt that if it was just her, this master of hers would make her rebuild it.
The sect master did not say anything. He only raised his hand and yelled: “Next Match! Disciple Nana and Disciple Takeichi. Both of you come up to the stage.”
Yuki walked straight to Nana and gave her a kiss and hug before wishing her luck. Many boys and even some girls were envious of the two’s relationship. Many boys wished they were in Nana’s shoes, while others wished they were in Yuki’s shoes. Both girls had a small fan base each that were considered rivals. But they both knew one thing. They were men! There was no way these girls would fall for them! So they did not dare get in between the two. However, this was also because they were scared of Yuki. While the girls who wished they could get in between did not dare to either. It seemed to be an unspoken rule to just watch from afar.
Nana walked up on stage with her large sword on her back and yawned as she looked at Takeichi, who was standing in front of her. “Junior Sister, I will not hold back even if you are a girl.”
“That’s fine. I will still win.” Nana replied as she reached up and took something off her wrists. Takeichi watched as two metal clasps that Nana had on her wrists. The entire tournament slammed into the stage.
*Boom!*
A loud explosion rang out as two small pits formed on the stage. Nana rubbed her wrists and smiled before bending down and removing the ones from her legs. “There, now I feel a little lighter.”
“This…” Takeichi frowned. He turned to look at Elder Nishikawa, who was smiling away. He had been wondering why his junior sister was wearing metal clasps this entire time. It seemed to be some form of training!
Takeichi could only sigh. He hoped he would not be beaten too bad. He did not want to end up like Rin! He at least wanted to put up a good fight! His lips felt dry as he licked them. He looked at Nana, who was swinging her massive sword in front of her as if warming up, and sighed once more. “I can only hope….”
“Alright, you already know the rules, so I will not go over them. But remember, if you break the stage, you will need to repair it!” The sect master decided this would be the new rule from now on.
Nana ignored the old man. She knew if she did break it, her master would fix it. As for Takeichi, he wanted to cry! His master would not fix anything for him! He was a stingy old goat!
The sect master looked at the two. When they both nodded he yelled out: “Fight!”
