Legend Of Yuki: The Wrath Of The Tailed Asura
Magi Qi Part 1
“While I do say all of this, I now understand one thing. And Yuki’s words have opened my eyes. If they can cast spells based on the imagery in their minds, then maybe we can do what she stated and use spiritual qi or demonic qi as a means of doing the same. I know I said I failed before, but if we can all put our heads together and come up with a new means of using our own resources, then maybe…. Just maybe we can create something completely new.” Delia felt a bit more confident with Yuki around. If Yuki said it should be possible, then it should be.
“Well, we first would need to break down the simplest of elemental techniques. I believe flame fists are the one element that is normally used by fate star cultivators. At least, this is what I have seen in the sect.” Yuki looked at Nana and Silvia, who both nodded, agreeing with her.
“So you are saying if we can break down the fundamentals of Flame Fist’s ability to create fire, we should be able to start crafting something like magic?” Selene asked. The more she heard the more she became interested.
“Yes. And I think that we would have a greater advantage against the Serpents as well. While we do not know exactly how they grow in power, we can still outpace them since cultivation allows us to grow stronger with each stage and realm, expanding our ability to use spiritual qi and demonic qi. This means that based on how fast you can cultivate, you can grow stronger quicker and use these new magi qi-based techniques.” Yuki explained, but for some reason, she was getting strange looks from two people. “What!?”
“Can we rename it to something better? Why magi qi?” Silvia felt the name was a bit…. Nana, on the other hand, thought Yuki’s naming sense was as amazing as always. While Selene just shook her head. While she did want to say something, she herself could not think of a better name either.
“What’s wrong with the name Yuki gave it!? I think it’s amazing!” Delia snorted.
“Fine! Let’s take a vote then. But if you vote against my name, you all need to come up with new ones for us to vote on.” Yuki pouted. She thought the name was great since they were combining magic with spiritual qi! “Raise your hand to change the name!”
No one dared to raise their hands. They, too, were on Yuki level naming sense. Seeing how no one dared to vote against it, Yuki smiled before giving Silvia a snort, which caused the poor Spider girl to panic a little, but when she saw Yuki sticking her tongue out at her teasingly, she let out a sigh of relief. She had to make sure to get even with Yuki later.
“Anyways! Let’s take a look at the flame fist. While I have never actually practiced it myself, I have read the technique and know the ins and outs of it.” Yuki began drawing a bunch of words on the ground, breaking them apart as she did.
“As you can see here, the start of the cultivation method only talks about how to rotate your qi in your body to move it towards your fists. The second part is how you ignite the spiritual qi on release into flames, and this is the key part we will need to understand since the circulation of the qi in the body has no part in creating any kind of element.
“To ignite the spiritual qi, it says it is best to have an affinity to the fire element, but I do not think this is true since there are many who have used this technique without needing to have any kind of element. This means the elements themselves are easily created through pure qi.
“So if we think along these lines, we should be able to change fire to ice during the punching process. If this is possible, then we should be able to expand upon it and begin working on just forming the flame or ice in the palm of our hands. Once we accomplish this, we can move on to other things like a fireball attack or an ice spear, for example.” Yuki was gettign fired up. But when she lifted her head and saw everyone staring at her in awe, especially Selene, she was very confused: “What now!?”
“Why do I feel like you are a genius in more than one way?” Delia asked.
“Hmm? Isn’t it very easy if you break down a cultivation technique into sections? Once you do that, you can understand the ins and outs of any kind of cultivation technique.” Yuki answered in confusion. She thought this was the basics of basics when it came to learning techniques.
“Now I understand why you are able to quickly understand techniques and even skip stages within the technique.” Nana felt very proud of her Yuki! She had always known Yuki was amazing, but this just showed just how capable and amazing Yuki really was. To be able to understand so much from a cultivation technique even if it is something for those who are just starting out. It was still an amazing feat.
