Legend Of Yuki: The Wrath Of The Tailed Asura
Magi Qi Part 2
“Well, I guess I should say that understanding the ins and outs is one thing, but putting it into practice is another. In order to make something work for you, you must first adjust it to fit your style.
“Like if you want to learn a fist technique. It’s good to break it down, but it will take practice and a bit of tweaking to fit you perfectly. This is where cultivators of this world get stuck. They are too hard coded in the values of what their ancestors passed down. Why should we be stuck trying to force ourselves to learn a technique that is not perfectly tailored to you?
“If I were to hand you a technique that required you to be able to do something your own physical body can not do, then no matter how much you understand it, since you can not put it into practice, then it is no use.
“But this is why magi qi is so much better than your day to day techniques. Because once you learn how to produce an element what you do with it is up to you. As long as you have the imagination for it, you can do so much with it.” Yuki explained.
“Now that you mention it, there are techniques that many put off because they do not fit them or they test them out only to find out that they could not progress in them any further. Some people spend a day while others years trying to learn a single technique.” Selene really wondered if they could make magi qi a thing. If they could learn it, then wouldn’t everyone here be the first cultivators who had power outside of techniques? This thought excited her. She might be able to use this as a means of pulling demonic cultivators away from the evil ways.
“Exactly, which is why We should attempt to do this. If we can grow stronger without the hassle of learning new techniques that might be flawed, then we should do so, right?” Yuki grinned. No one could say no to what she just said because that was everyone’s dream.
“We should attempt to do it!” Nana nodded. She would do anything that did not make Yuki upset to grow stronger.
“I agree, but I think we should make a pact here and now,” Delia spoke up. “Should we accomplish something that has never been accomplished before, then we should not speak of it to anyone else until we are strong enough in our own creation to ward off any enemies.”
“I agree with Delia on this.” Silvia also thought this was for the best. “If we were to explain our thought process to others, someone who has an easier time doing this might grow stronger faster than all of us and might even try to take us out in the process. The hearts of people are filled with evil and greed. Only those who you can trust your back to should know about this.”
“Mmm… My cute spider and kitty are correct!” Yuki hugged Silvia’s waist and nuzzled her nose in her chest. “We must make a pact here and now to keep all of us from being able to say a word to anyone until we all agree it is time.”
“Sounds good to me.” Nana nodded.
Selene though was a bit hesitant but she also knew this was for the best. For now, she would just need to wait. Once everyone agreed, she would use these new powers they might gain to help everyone she could. “I also agree.”
“Then we are all agreed. I will form a contract. If any of us are to break it, we will be put to sleep for one hundred years or until everyone has decided to end the punishment.” One hundred years of lost cultivation, especially in the early stages of cultivation, was not something the girls wanted to experience.
Delia formed a few hand signs before sending out a string of demonic qi that slipped into each of them. This demonic qi went right into their hearts and formed an imprint of a tiger’s claw. It was proof of their pact and imprinted with what they had just agreed upon. So if any of them tried to share this information with anyone but the five of them, then that person would end up in a deep slumber.
If it were a bunch of strangers, Delia would have put a mark of instant death instead, but since they all knew each other and were friends, Delia went for the deep sleep version. Although she hoped Selene would not think of trying to go against it. If she did, Delia would not allow them to wake the girl up.
While Selene did not trust them all completely, Delia did not trust Selene fully either. She knew Yuki saw her as a friend, so Delia put up with her. But Delia knew one thing was for sure. If Selene dared to hurt Yuki, she would hunt her down.
“The pact is done. We should begin trying to figure this out. Once we are stronger, we will not need to worry about much of anything anymore.” Yuki was the one who spoke and began writing on the ground once more. “Let’s go over everything in detail again.”
