The girls all walked down the stairs into their new abode for training and were surprised to see that it actually was not too bad. “Hehe, surprised, right?” Delia looked very proud of her handy work.

“Indeed. While it is still made of a mix of rock and dirt, it is not wet at all. How did you do it?” Yuki asked. She was very shocked; while simple, it was nice and smooth without any lumps.

“I got bored a while back and began skipping rocks until the idea of creating a hideout anywhere I wanted by tossing a rock came to mind. And well… I spent a few hundred years practicing, and this is what I came up with.” Delia replied. 

“Spent a few hundred years…..” Selene felt dizzy. Just thinking about practicing something so useless for so long made her feel faint. She could not do such a thing. But while she did call it useless, she really could not agree with her own statement because it seemed not too bad and would beat having to do it by hand. While many could easily manipulate the area around them with their spiritual or demonic qi to create an immortal cave. But to simply toss a rock…. While it seemed like a useless skill, it actually saved time!

“Neat, huh? However, once I could make a big room with stairs, I stopped any progression I had with the idea since I got bored again and went on to destroy a human kin…. Ermmm… I went to cultivate.” Delia was glad she caught herself. She did not want Yuki to think she was some kind of mass murderer. Of course, she was not fooling anyone, but everyone had tact. So, even if they knew what she was going to say, they did not come out and question her about it. “Anyway, let me stick up an array, and then we can get down to business.”

Yuki chuckled as she watched Delia scamper away. “She is still the same.” 

“She destroyed human kingdoms in her previous life, too?” Silvia asked. She was not being serious, but since she hardly ever told any jokes before, the looks Yuki and Nana gave her made her shyly lower her head.

“Silvia made a joke! So cute!” Yuki jumped on Silvia and began kissing her face.

A while later, all the girls were now in serious mode and were staring at Yuki, who seemed to be lost in deep thought. “To turn qi into an element, we need to have a proper image of what we want to create. It can be considered a kind of form of qi manipulation. I think the reason it was never discovered before is because the way of converting qi into an element is hidden within the techniques scroll. And since our ancestors have always stuck to the method listed in the scroll and, as such, we followed their example, no one seems to have thought of dragging the main portion of the technique and only focused on the technique itself. I know I am repeating myself, but this is just so I can get a clearer image as well of what we are trying to achieve.”

“It’s fine. This is actually helping quite a bit.” Silvia had been having issues imagining things from another perspective, but Yuki’s words just now really brought things to light.

“So if we take flame fist as I said before and do as it says to create fire, we should be able to do just that like so….” Yuki pictured the flame of a candle in her mind since it was the simplest and easiest method for those of this world to understand best. 

“Yuki, you did it!” Nana cried out as she saw the small flame on the tip of Yuki’s finger. The other girls also stared at it in awe. There was no technique, and it was not all that impressive at a glance, but in fact, this was something that was done without a technique to go by and used just plain spiritual qi to create.

“This is the candle flame I pictured in my mind after rotating my qi and sending it to the tip of my finger. This is probably the easy part. I think the hard part will be creating something viable that can be used at range. Like, say, I want to throw this flame, how do I do it? I would need to ball up enough spiritual qi and ignite it to create a fireball and then throw it without the flame going out.

“I think sending spiritual qi or demonic qi out of your body is the hardest part. To use it and manipulate it at will is what will take us the longest to understand. Because this…” Yuki looked at the candle flame. “Is only good for letting you read those old techniques.

So our first goal should be to try to move spiritual qi or demonic qi out of our bodies and then manipulate it in a way that allows us to control the shape of the qi as we see fit and fire it off to be used as the first magi qi spell.”
