Legend Of Yuki: The Wrath Of The Tailed Asura
Skip Me!
“Yes, let’s!” Takeichi’s blood boiled. He really wanted to fight this match.
This time Takeichi did not waste any time. He covered his entire body in lightning before shooting forward. Kyoji’s eyes lit up. He was very excited at this time. He knew this would be a hard fight because he only learned how to use the element of water. He also knew this was why his junior brother chose him. Lightning and water did not mix well, and if he was careless, he would end up being turned into char.
So right now, he was about to have a battle that he needed the most. Even if he lost, Kyoji would not be mad. But he would ask Takeichi if he could spar with him from time to time. “Let’s see if you can deal with this!”
Kyoji swung his sword multiple times and shot out thin beams of water at Takeichi. Takeichi had been expecting this. He had done a lot of research on Kyoji and spent a lot of spirit stones to get information from Fatty as well. It was because of this that he had chosen Kyoji in the end.
When the water blades came at him, he sidestepped each one before continuing forward. With his blade drawn, he slashed out, sending out multiple arcs of lightning in all directions causing Kyoji to have no place to run. He could only swipe his hand and cause a dome of water to surround him to disperse the attack.
Kyoji sighed. He had known this would be a tough battle, but he did not think he would be pushed on the defensive so soon. With the lightning barrage happening around him, he had no chance to attack normally. “Looks like I will need to use that……”
He had one attack that might end the entire match, but he did not know if it would work. He did not want to use this attack since it was an attack that would use up all his spiritual qi in a single attack. It was his biggest trump card. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath before raising the sword in his hand and stabbing it down into the ground. “Water Dragon Pillars!”
The stage rumbled before cracking, and hundreds of pillars of water shot up into the sky. The tops of each pillar had a dragon shape head that hooked over and looked down at Takeichi. Takeichi saw this attack and sighed. He had no way of defeating such an attack. It already took all he had to dodge the initial portion of the attack, or else he would have long been blown away. Lightning was able to do two things. First, it could interact with the water on the surface of objects and cause damage to those it touches, or second, it could disperse off a water’s surface, making it unusable.
Right now, Takeichi could only watch the water dome around Kyoji disperse his lightning and do no damage to the one standing in the middle. Kyoji was bone dry, and no water was even getting near his feet. The water dome actually blocked all the water raining down on the stage at this time.
Takeichi knew one thing, though. Right now, if he were to attack, nothing would happen. But if he could defend against this attack, he might have a chance to win. He noticed that the water dome around Kyoji was growing weaker. This meant the water dragons took a lot of spiritual qi.
It was just that…. Takeichi was not so sure he could survive such an attack, let alone dodge it. It would be different if he was not confined to the stage, but he was. He gritted his teeth and tried to calculate his chance of winning, but no matter how he looked at it, he was probably going to have to give up this year. If he had won the tournament, he would have chosen one of the weaker opponents, but since he ended up in third, he had no choice but to choose Kyoji. He was glad he got this far and had pushed Kyoji to have to use such a skill which meant he was definitely a threat, but he knew….
“I give up!” Takeichi sighed. He knew better. He did not wish to get seriously injured here. He could always try again next year or challenge Kyoji at any time later on.
“Winner, Kyoji!” The sect master smiled. He felt Takeichi made a smart move. He would have saved Takeichi either way, but he had to hand it to the young man for making this decision. In another year or two, he might even be able to defeat such a technique. Kyoji let out a sigh of relief. He waved his hand, canceling the attack. The water dragons turned into particles of light that disappeared into the air.
“Junior Brother, you are the first one to make me use this move,” Kyoji said with a smile. He looked very pale. “If you had somehow beaten it, I would have given up myself. Your lightning is dangerous. If I did not have the water dome and the dragons, I would have lost without being able to put up much of a fight. I worked hard to find techniques that would allow me to beat my shortcomings when it came to the elements that I was weak against. Lightning was one of them.”
“I just need to work harder. One of these days, I will challenge you again, Senior Brother.” Takeichi bowed and walked off the stage. He wanted to grow stronger.
Rin watched Takeichi walking off in defeat and smiled. She suddenly raised her hand and yelled out: “Sect Master, I will not be challenging anyone, so you can skip me!”
