The Asura’s True Awakening Part 2

Screams of fear quickly filled the air. It was as if hell had descended. Yuki danced in the air as her aura stabbed out, sucking in the souls of those around her. Even her predecessors could do what she was doing now. Her aura was now the ultimate weapon. Those hit would have their souls ripped from their bodies, causing them pain they could never imagine

“Ahhh! I don’t want to die!”  The once arrogant enemy disciples who had come to the Heavenly Cloud Sect and began slaughtering the young disciples without a care were all not running for their lives.

“Hahahahaha! Hehehehe! Run! Run! Scream some more! Aw~! It makes me so hawt~!”  Yuki’s cries of pleasure filled the air, her aura growing stronger with each soul she consumed. Each scream and soul was filling her body with pleasure from head to toe. Her entire body was radiating a reddish light.

While Yuki was slaughtering the enemy disciples, Delia was standing in the air above two young men and an old man fighting. She looked around and furrowed her brow when she did not see Elder Nishikawa anywhere. “Stupid phoenix, where did you go? Are you going to make my Yuki cry?”

She floated down and grabbed one of the young men who was facing off against Yuki’s sect master by the throat and coldly asked: “Where is the phoenix?”

“You… You are the demo…. Ack!” The young man’s eye bulged out of his head as Delia tightened her grip.

“I asked you a question, so answer. Or I will squish your head right off your body.” Delia's murderous aura swept over the area, causing the fighting to come to a halt. “Either you tell me where the phoenix is, or I will teach you what it means to wish you were dead.”

Delia’s threats contradicted the others, but she did not care. She was making things simple. They either did as she asked, or she would truly make them wish they were dead. Seeing how quiet the two young men were being, she snorted, let go of the one she was holding on to, and used her spirit pressure to force the two young men to kneel on the ground. She was about to continue her interrogation when she sensed an overwhelming power rising in the direction Yuki was. She turned to see crimson-red clouds forming in the distance.

“What is this?” Even Delia could sense the strong blood lust from where she stood. And she was far from the battle in the sect. Black lightning began to crack through the crimson-red clouds, giving off a sense of immediate danger.

“I would take these people and leave here.” An old man suddenly appeared next to Delia. His presence had gone unnoticed this entire time, startling Delia to the point that she almost jumped out of her skin.

“You!? Who are you!?” Delia jumped to Yuki’s sect master and positioned herself in front of him.

“A friend of the little fox. She is unable to control what is about to happen. So, I decided to make a trip to the mortal world to help her a little. The asura’s true awakening is about to happen. It is something no asura has been able to do before, but the little fox has been able to trigger it since she had learned the true use of the asura aura. Take these people and leave. At least make it to the edge of the continent. I will go protect those she cares about. But just know that from this day forth, the little fox will be hunted. It will be up to you to truly protect her until she is strong enough.” The old man placed his hand on Delia’s head before smiling and disappearing.

“That old man….” Delia did not know what was going on, but she knew one thing was for sure. He was truly powerful and did not come from the mortal realm. She looked at Yuki’s sect master and the two young men and sighed before wrapping them all in her demonic qi and flying off toward the coast at her fastest speed.

The old man flashed and arrived in the air above Yuki. His body flashed every so often to dodge the red tentacle-like strands of aura that shot at him. He then looked at the enemy disciples and waved his hand. Restricting the enemy disciples’ movements while a golden aura wrapped around the fleeing Heavenly Cloud Sect disciples.

“I can not do much, but I can at least send the rest to the teleportation location. Once they are gone, the true awakening can begin. Although it will sacrifice the souls of this section of the continent, it will be for the best…..” It was not ideal to use the souls of the innocent, and he knew the little fox did not want this, but there was no choice. If she stopped now, she would receive a backlash that could cripple her or, worse, kill her.  The awakening had to finish. There was no way around it.

“Nana, what is happening?” Selene asked as she stared at the ominous clouds.

“I am not sure. We need to quickly finish up here and go help Yuki.” Nan replied. She did not know what was going on, but she knew one thing was for sure. Whatever was about to happen was going to affect everything. It was a kind of instinctual feeling that was welling up inside her.

“You girls will not be able to stay. Do not worry about the little fox.” A voice filled their three girl’s ears. “I will protect her.”

“Who ar….” Silvia wanted to ask who was speaking, but before she could finish her words, her vision blurred, and she found herself on a tall mountain with Nana and Selene at her side, along with all the Heavenly Cloud Sect disciples.
