Legend Of Yuki: The Wrath Of The Tailed Asura
The Path Of The Bloody Petals Part 1
“I will see you both on the top of the mountain.” Yuki gave both girls a kiss on the cheek before running off.
Nana and Silvia looked at one another and chuckled. “Our little fox likes to make sneak attacks.”
“That she does,” Silvia replied with a smile. But this smile only lasted for a second before disappearing. “Nana, do not let her down. I will also do my best to see her at the top.”
“Mmm… Whoever has the most points gets to have Yuki to herself for one night!” Nana wanted something to motivate her and Silvia at the same time, so a night alone with Yuki was definitely the way to go!
“You are on!” Silvia felt a fire being lit under her feet as she ran off to find a tablet that suited her.
This was the hardest part. Finding a tablet that called out to them before they sat down and started trying to comprehend them. Well, normally, this was how it should be. Yuki just walked to the first tablet and sat down.
Yuki looked at the tablet in front of her and began staring at it. The words light up slightly before a golden light shot into the spot between her brow. “Hmmmm?”
Yuki began reading the words in her mind. “The ocean of time is long, but how far can one actually go? Steady yet slow. The pace might seem long, but the foundation it creates will last a lifetime.”
Yuki frowned. It made no sense. It was nothing but a bunch of gibberish. Who the hell would go so slow that it would last a lifetime? Even if a solid foundation is good and the cultivation path is long, it does not mean just because you need a solid foundation that, one would want to waste years to reach each level. A solid foundation can be created by working on both your physical body as well as your spiritual cultivation. “What a waste of time!”
Yuki did not see her token lighting up with a purple color, then quickly dimming. This was a sign of complete comprehension of the tablet. Who would have thought the tablet was actually a trick? It was there to trick disciples into wasting time. There were many of such tablets, and in fact, they were the easiest to get points off of if you figured it out. But many disciples would think it had some kind of deeper meaning, like the ones still sitting in front of it trying to comprehend what it meant.
Yuki sat down at the next tablet and looked at it. Like before, a golden light shot into her head. “The path before you is one no one knows the end to. It is also a path filled with bloodshed. Each stroke on this tablet forms a sword dance called The Path Of The Bloody Petals. Comprehend as much as you can and slaughter the foes.”
Yuki raised an eyebrow and licked her lips. “Finally, something good!”
“Shhh!” A disciple beside her glared at her. Yuki covered her mouth and bowed her head in apology. She did not mean to disturb those around her.
Yuki got into a comfortable position and stared at the tablet. The strokes on it were wild and crazy, as if someone went all out to mark these in a strange yet beautiful pattern. Yuki engraved these markings into her mind and closed her eyes. She began visualizing herself as the person making these marks. By using the name of the move itself and taking in her own abilities with the sword, she began picturing each move one by one.
“Side slash…. No… Left, up, done, left, flip, right…..” Yuki began trying to figure out the patterns according to how she would strike. An hour passed, and the people around her already got up and left. New people came but they also gave up after reading the text.
Outside the mystic realm, Elder Li stood in the air looking at the images in front of him. He raised an eyebrow when he saw that Yuki had already accomplished full comprehension of the trick tablet. But what surprised him even more was where she was sitting. “We moved this tablet to the start because it is the hardest of all the tablets. The first asura left these words and this sword technique herself.
“Truly an interesting little girl. If she really does comprehend this tablet, then I am sure she will get into the Dragon Sect in a few years’ time. At that time, I will take her under my wing.” Elder Li had really taken a liking to the little girl. He was a monster in his own right. On par with Yuki’s sect master, and he was only an elder. So he could see through the three girl’s disguises but this did not matter to him since the sect master of the Dragon Sect was a dragon himself. Many disciples were from the mystic races. It was a sort of safe haven for them. Even the pill sects did not dare to cause trouble for the Dragon Sect.
The last time one did, they were destroyed overnight. Not even a single blade of grass could be seen standing where their sect once stood. The sect master takes it personally when a mystic race from his sect is touched.
