Legend Of Yuki: The Wrath Of The Tailed Asura

18 years stuck in a hospital bed, always taken care of by those around her. Sick all her life Yuki finally passed away. What she did not expect was to be reborn as a fox girl? A world of cultivation. A world where might makes right.Yuki will need to learn to survive in this new world. Will she be able…

Trap

“The lanterns are beautiful.” Yuki rested in Delia’s arms as she looked out over the town from the rooftops. They had a few empty containers next to them, showing that they had been snaking on the festive delicacies.

“Yes, they are.” Delia nodded in agreement. She wondered when it was that she enjoyed this kind of view. Her sense of time and common sense was wrapped when she was reborn in this world due to being born as a demonic beast. It wasn’t until recently, after meeting Yuki again, that she had been slowly regaining her common sense.

“You girls seem to be enjoying yourselves.” A muscular man suddenly appeared at Yuki and Delia’s side, but neither girl seemed to care.

“And you seem to be intruding on our fun. Old man, I suggest you not say where you are from. Because if you do, I will kill you on the spot.” Yuki’s glanced up at the muscular man. She knew where he was from, but she did not plan to kill anyone today. After all, it was a festival. If she started fighting here, it would cause the people below to have their fun ruined. She did not wish to ruin the fun of kind people.

“Oh? You think you can kill me?” The muscular man looked down at Yuki with narrowed eyes but the girl only calmly looked back at him. A spark of interest filled his eyes, not one of lust but one of intrigue. He knew this little girl was not simple. She and the other girl were suppressing their auras. He could tell.

He turned his gaze away from the two girls and down at the festivities below, looked at the colorful lanterns, and nodded his head. “You two are right. They are beautiful. I will leave you two for today. We will meet again once you leave town.”

“Okay, we will be sure to bury what is left of your body once we are done.” Yuki waved the man off as she continued to cuddle with Delia. The two paid the man no mind as they enjoyed the sights and sounds below.

The muscular man chuckled and disappeared. He hated to admit it, but it was good that they did not fight. He was not confident enough to fight them alone. “I will need backup…..” The muscular sighed as he took out a slip of paper, said a few words, and watched as it turned into a paper crane and flew off. He just hoped backup would come to him quickly.

On Yuki’s side, Delia gave her a surprised look. Yuki tilted her head to the side and asked: “What?”

“You let him go?” Delia was quite surprised. It was obvious what sect he was from.

“The festival is going on. I do not want to ruin the mood. Plus, he won’t run away. He is probably calling for backup, which helps us track down some of the stronger members of the Celestial Heaven Sect. So basically, you can say it’s more of a trap.” Yuki knew the Celestial Heaven Sect would not let her off. She also knew that by letting the old man go, he would return with a bigger force. So, she was allowing him to call out a good portion of the Celestial Heaven Sect’s strength. This not only saved her time but allowed her to be able to wipe out the sect faster.

“Ah! I did not think along those lines.” Delia smiled brightly and hugged Yuki. “You are the smartest!”

“I just want to do the least amount of work as possible when dealing with a sect that has such a big ego. My powers put me at the pinnacle of this realm. There are probably a few old monsters who can fight me head-on, and I bet one lives in the Celestial Heaven Sect. So we need to reduce their strength as much as possible.” Yuki wondered just how well she would do against some of those old monsters who stay hidden in cultivation every day. These were people who could not break through to ascend to the next realm or were staying at their current strength waiting for someone to replace them.

It was normal for large families to have an ancestor. It was how they could last for thousands of years and act arrogant. Doing as they pleased every day without a care. But this was also bad. The younger generation normally takes for granted what their ancestors built up and slack off in their cultivation.

The old monsters know this, but they can not do anything since they are always cultivating themselves. But once they are gone it would be the slow decline of the clan. This was why clans would rise and fall all the time. Once the ancestor was gone, most clans fell apart. Only those who stayed steady and strong could last through time and continue to hold their position even after their ancestors had ascended. This is because a member would rise up to the challenge and work hard to reach the peak.

Yuki knew a sect like the Celestial Heaven Sect would have such a person, or else they would have long been destroyed for how they acted. Yuki sighed as she stretched and said: “Once the festival is over, let’s head out of town. We should go meet our new friends.”
