Trouble In The Mystic Realm Part 1

Yuki and Nana stepped through the portal one after the other. The change of scenery happened in a blink of an eye causing Yuki who found herself in the middle of a forest, to feel slightly dizzy. She hook her head and looked around and immediately spotted what she was supposed to collect.

A flag was sticking out of the ground. It was red and attached to a metal pole. It was no bigger than the palm of her hand which meant that these flags were not going to be easy to spot unless they dropped in your lap like this did for her or if you are paying close enough attention to spot them.

“Well, that is on…..” Yuki’s thoughts were cut off when a voice came from behind her.

“Hand over the flag and we will not force you out of the mystic realm.”

Yuki turned around and looked at the two boys who were a few years older than herself staring back at her with mocking smiles on their faces. She looked at the flag in her hand and slowly and shakenly held it out towards the boy who was the closest. Her voice trembled as she said: “Please don’t harm me….”

“Hah… so much for the golden girl. When alone she is nothing.” The boy sneered and reached out for the flag. He failed to see the cold light that formed in Yuki’s eyes.

As soon as the boy’s hand was about to touch the flag, Yuki reached out with her other hand and grabbed his wrist. “Sorry, I was just joking.”

“What!?” The boy only got to let out a single word before his vision went black.

Yuki’s sword had swept through the air and made contact with the boy’s neck. His body flashed as a barrier formed blocking the attack and sending him out. Yuki clicked her tongue as she turned to the other boy who stood there frozen. She gave him a bright smile that did not reach her eyes as she stepped forward and appeared in front of him and stabbed straight at his heart. Once more the barrier formed blocking her attack and the boy was ejected from the mystic realm only minutes after arriving.

“Tch… At least let me stick the sword in a little!” Yuki complained. She didn’t even get to see any blood. The system that this mystic realm was underworked a little too well. “Well, I guess I can try for nonlethal strikes next time….”

Outside the mystic realm, the sect master looked at the two boys who appeared and shook his head. He turned and looked at Elder Nishikawa who had a big grin on her face and sighed. He wondered just what kind of demons this sect was actually raising. But he did not wish to anger Elder Nishikawa. But when he thought about it he felt this was actually not bad. This would be a good lesson for these arrogant kids who still think they are at home and privileged.

On Nana’s side of things, she had arrived in an ice field and felt like she was going to freeze to death. She did her best to coat her body with spiritual qi to keep the cold off and looked around. “Ice in all directions. Looks like I am not so lucky.”

She closed her eyes and spun around a few times before stopping and heading in the direction she stopped in. She had no idea where she was going but currently, she could not see anything but ice so it really did not matter which way she went.

Ai was not having a good time. She was currently being chased by some kind of demonic beast. “He never said there were demonic beast that big in here!” She wanted to cry. She had thought she would do fine against demonic beasts but this thing was just too big! It looked like a giant lizard with short upper arms and had giant metal plating around its body. She had never seen such a beast before. All she could do was run because she knew with her feeble strength there was no way she could kill that thing!

Ami was having a better time. She stood on a mountain peak that was covered in foilage and looked down at the female disciple under her foot. “Did you think I was weak? Did you think you could sneak up on me? Did you want to make a name for yourself by knocking me out of the game!?”

Ami was mad. This girl came out from behind a rock and tried to kill her. She had never even met the girl before but she seemed to be exuding quite a bit of killing intent. The girl looked up at Ami with hate filled eyes and was struggling under Aim’s foot. She could not get up no matter what she tried to do. “Let me go! If you know what is good for you, you will let me go!”

“Heh. Let you go? Sorry, I am not so kind. I am only kind to those I think of as friends.” Ami raised her sword and stabbed it down right on to the girl’s head. A barrier formed and Ami lost her footing almost falling over as the girl was expelled from the mystic realm. “She got away…. Looks like I made an enemy but I will be damned if I allow someone to walk all over me! But I guess I should be a bit more careful from now on.”

While Ami was learning a lesson on letting her guard down, Fatty was sweating from head to toe as a sword stabbed at his crotch. “Damn! Watch where you are putting that thing! This Fatty does not want to become Fattina!”
