Legend Of Yuki: The Wrath Of The Tailed Asura
Trump Cards
Yuki stayed cuddled up in Nana’s embrace while she watched the other matches. Takeichi and Rin won their next matches with ease. When it came to the second to last match before the semi finals, Rin’s expression was not good. On stage across from her was another girl. Her blue robes fluttered in the breeze. But the confidence in her eyes could be seen.
“You did not expect me to be here, did you, Sister Rin?” The girl smiled playfully at Rin. She was in Rin’s generation of disciples, so she called her Sister Rin instead of senior or junior.
“I thought you went on a journey to better yourself. Why did you come back now?” Rin frowned. Of all the people she could have run into in this tournament, it had to be this girl. The only rival she had for Takeichi and the only person girl she had yet to win against if you did not include Nana and Yuki.
“Hmmm? I just happened to come back and found out the tournament was going on. But it seems we both might end up in a bad spot come the semi finals. Especially with those two girls. I heard they were monsters.” The girl replied.
“Sister Yue, it is not nice to be calling girls monsters,” Rin replied. “They are our junior sisters and Elder Nishikawa’s personal disciples.”
“Ah! My mistake.” Yue smiled and bowed her head. As she raised her head, her smile deepened. “Now then, shall we see how we both have progressed in the past two years?”
“After you. They always say the oldest should go first.” Rin replied teasingly. But Yue did not react. She only stepped forward and disappeared.
Rin had expected this and quickly drew her sword and placed it at the back of her neck. A clanging sound of metal on metal was heard as sparks flew. “Sister Yue, your movement technique is still so-so.”
“Hehe. Is it?” Yue suddenly sped up ever more, causing Rin to raise an eyebrow. But she knew this speed was nothing compared to her junior sister. She did not wish to fight against Yuki, but she had no choice. But first, she had to deal with this annoyance.
“I guess I should show something too, or you will say I have gotten weaker.” Rin finally stepped forward and pressed her hands together, she then stomped hard after gathering her spiritual qi in her foot, causing the who stage to tremble before spikes of stone shot up from every side of Rin. Rin had not wanted to use these techniques, but she could no longer hold back. If she did not make it to the semi finals, she would not be able to use them anyways. But this was also good. She could use this as a chance to see if her skills were good against speed types like Yuki.
Yue quickly stopped trying to use her speed to confuse Rina and backed off. She did not expect that Rin had mastered the earth element so well. To be able to grow so many spikes as she did was on par with even some of the top inner sect disciples. “It seems you have not been idle.”
“You have no idea what it is like to be living under the same roof as people who are much more talented than you. You have been gone, so you do not know. In this life, there are times when your inferiority will shine through. But I still do not plan to lose no matter what!” Rin suddenly grinned. She stomped her foot once more, making the whole battle stage tremble again.
Stone spikes began to appear at the edges of the battle stage before shooting up into the air and then turning back around and raining down onto Yue. Yue frowned. This was an attack that would hinder her greatly and even deal a lot of damage if she was not careful. “Looks like you have truly grown. I guess I can no longer hold back.”
Yue’s eyes flashed with a white light as she gripped her sword and spun it round above her head, destroying the stone spikes that were raining down on top of her. She then threw her sword into the air and clapped her hands together. “Split!”
The sword suddenly hovered in the air and split apart into ten different swords. Yue grinned as she said: “Go!”
The swords shot towards Rin, even looping around the stone spikes, aiming right for Rin. Rin couldn’t help but grit her teeth as she once more had to reveal a trump card. She stomped her foot again. This time, nothing came out, but the earth spike in front of her suddenly moved and merged together, creating a dome over her.
“Sister Rin, you can not hide forever!” Yue yelled out as her swords encircled the dome. They were waiting for the dome to fall so they could attack. It was just that….
A figure suddenly began to emerge from the ground with a sword in her hand. She raised it up and placed it on the delicate white neck in front of her. “Who said I was hiding?”
Yue raised her hands. She knew when she was defeated. She did not think Rin had learned such a movement technique. She could only sigh. “I give! I can not beat that. But to think you would use the stone dome as a distraction.”
“Mmm…. Sadly, I do not think it will get me through the semi finals.”
