Because the green monster was almost directly at me when it was attacking me, my way to the cave is not too far.

Out of nowhere, I suddenly heard this growl.
Frozen I looked around. But wherever I looked I could not find anything in this darkness.
A growling sound that can only be a wolf right? How should I now fight against a wolf?
Rooted to the spot, I am already in the process of saying adieu to my new but rather short life.

Before I half died for reasons, I arrived near the place where the goblin stood.
My gaze wanders a little until I realize to my surprise that there is something furry lying on the ground.
To describe it better it looks like a rat. Only that this is as large as a cat.<\/p>\n
Oh yes, the oversized long claws should not be ignored.
They are as long as a hunting knife.
Seems like this little creature was supposed to be a snack for the goblin.
Now it is mine.

I’m really hungry, But how do I get a fire?
I mean nowhere hangs a burning torch and magic I can not…
… can I use magic?
I’m supposed to have at least one mana point. <\/p>\n
I know it’s an overwhelming amount.
I probably need something that can burn…
Well, I have this club that I just carry around with me anyway.
So I put the club on the floor and stand in front of it with my hands outstretched.
“fire!”

Nothing. Would have been too good to be true.
Maybe with more pep?
“FIRE!”

“BURN”

“ABLAZE”

Some time and a few tearful outbursts later.
“Hellfire!”
“ahh come on!!!”
I have spoken almost every imaginable combination that could have something to do with fire or the creation of fire.
But it doesn’t seem to be that easy.
My gaze wanders back to the rat.
I’m really tearing up right now, but I don’t think there’s anything else I can do.
My hunger just doesn’t get any better.
So I get the rat and somehow manage to get one of these legs out.
The stump I’m holding in my hand… I don’t even know how to describe it nicely.
Slowly I bring it closer to my mouth. The smell of blood and a slightly foul odor from the fur rises in my nose.

“oh… mampf… wow… mampf” Not delicious but I really expected worse.
I blame it all on my hunger but the rat is no longer there.
In front of me is a pile of bones and next to it some fur remains and the head.
Yes, I’m sure I won’t touch it.
But I must say that the claws are really sharp. Probably even sharper than the goblin ones.
With a somewhat filled belly I lay back and realize how exhausted I am.
Lying on my back I can’t help but think how nice it would be to have at least a small fire next to me to warm me.
I mean, it’s already pretty cold here.
Just a little flame would be enough.
I really imagine how on my finger that I’m holding in front of me such a small flame would be nice.
It’s a different world, with goblins, why not magic?
But no I just can’t get it right even if I just think about what fire is I can’t even get a spark.
Turning slightly to the side, I try to somehow adjust my tattered dress so that it retains at least some warmth.
Then slowly my eyelids fall closed and I doze off.
After some time I wake up again and I notice that my surroundings seem much brighter?

Then the mushrooms must shine brighter.
Getting up slowly and a bit groggy. I look around a bit more closely.
Currently I am in a cave room which is about as big as a small family house.<\/p>\n
The room is also not particularly, only rock-walls which is covered by roots and sporadic mushrooms. <\/p>\n
At the edge you can find a few of these blue glow mushrooms that are about as big as my fist.
In about the middle where I was sitting there are still the remains of the rat.
On the side there is only one passage.
“That’s where I came from”
But there is no other way out.
“Where do I go from here?
When I search the cave again I can see where it continues.
“oh for gods sake”
Hidden by a few roots I can discover a small hole in the top.
But how am I supposed to get there?
Maybe by flying?
Ha… I’m not going to spend hours doing magic again!
Theoretically, I could use the roots on the rock-wall to work my way up.
Hmm… Maybe I’ll try to do just that.
But before I get to work, I’m painfully aware that I’ll have to leave behind the club I’ve worked so hard to gain.
I will never be able to take them with me.
So I put the club aside and when my eyes wandered over the remains of my snack, especially the claws, I took them.

I do not know how many times I fell or why I had not stopped after what I do not know how many times, but exhausted as if I had run a marathon, I made it.
