“My fists got it!” Lexy sheathed her sword and walked forward. She did not like having to do this, but since it was the only way, she could only push back her unwillingness. She walked over to the bandit boss, who was holding his head and screaming in pain, raised her hand back and…

*Slap!*

“Umm… Lexy… That was not a punch….” Nana did not know what to say. But the slap alone was enough to cause the bandit boss’s health to drop by a quarter of one of his bars. He had ten bars total. 

“Ahh! Your right.. Sorry, Let’s try again!” Lexy realized her mistake and raised her hand again and…

*Slap!*

“Ah… I did it again…. Let’s try once more.” 

*Slap!* 

*Slap!*

“I just can’t punch him!” Lexy yelled out as her hand fell once more. She felt bad enough that she had to hit him so punching him was just out of the question.

Nana sighed as she said: “Then just slap him stupid, so he forgets his boss code.”

“Okay…” Lexy obediently nodded and raised her hand again, and slammed it down. 

The sounds of an open palm hitting a face echoed throughout the room. Lexy did not just use one hand but both as she went back and forth, slapping the bandit boss over and over again. She gritted her teeth with each strike, wishing she did not have to do such a thing to the bandit boss who was already in pain. Behind her, Megalim looked on while clenching her fists. She could only hope what Nana said was true, and this would break the bonds of the boss system. 

Lexy slapped and slapped some more. The bandit boss did not retaliate, well, not that he could anymore. Lexy’s hand was smacking him so hard he was unable to remember who he was anymore. His face was swollen and black and blue. It was not until his health reached half his final bar that he finally showed signs of coming around.

“Miff Feen waf tu vi do?” (Translation: My Queen, what did I do?) He looked up at Lexy with teary eyes. He no longer had a confused pained expression. But Lexy seemed to have forgotten her goal as her hand once again came down, slapping the bandit boss in the face. 

“Lexy, stop! Or he will die!” Nana and Meglaim both yelled out at the same time.

“Ah! Oops….” Lexy backed up and looked at the bandit boss, who was no longer recognizable and felt very bad. “I… I’m sorry!”

“Lexy, call him back into your system quickly!” Nana remind.

“Right!” Lexy quickly did as Nana said and recalled the bandit boss back into her army space. The red square that was once around him was no longer there, and he had lost his status as a boss. He still had over thirty thousand health, though, and his stats were all still boss-level stats which made him her most powerful army member. “I think it worked….” 

“It did seem to work, but the boss room shield is still up. What should we do?” Megalim saw that the boss room was still in a boss fight state which meant they were still stuck inside the boss room. The only way out if they were stuck here would be death… And Megalim, for one, did not want this kind of outcome.

“This… Is a bit of an issue… Look at Lexy’s health bar…” Nana yelled out. 

Megalim looked to see Lexy’s health bar had grown and also had six of them stacked on top of each other. “What happened!?”

“This, I am not sure… It seems the system has mistaken Lexy as the new boss of the room. The only way out of this is for someone to come and defeat her, or she defeats them. I think only then will the boss room return to normal.” Nana did not know if she was right or not, but from the looks of it, this seemed to be the only reason. 

“Nya…. Nyaha…. Nyahahahahaha! Fear me! All shall tremble in front of me! Come bring on the challengers!” Lexy suddenly yelled out as she stood in the middle of the room. Her hands were on her hips, her head was tilted back, and her tail was standing straight up while the tip hooked ever so slightly. 

Megalim held her head in her hands. She knew right now Lexy was in full-blown boss acting mode! “This will take a while….”

Knowing that things would be a while, Megalim was about to walk over to the side of the room when Nana’s voice stopped her. “Little mage girls do not go too far. Look at your own status.”

Megalim stopped in her tracks and looked at her status, and sure enough, she now had three bars of health and a new title above her name. “Demon Queen’s Wife.” She blushed reading this and felt that it fit very well. She then looked at Lexy’s title, which said Demon Queen, and smiled. It seemed the end boss of the bandit’s den ended up becoming Lexy’s demon queen lair. “So, does this mean we are stuck in this room forever?”

“I am not sure. But you should try to get some people here quickly to reach this room, or you ‘will’ end up being stuck here for sure.” Nana replied. Lexy was too busy pretending to be the boss of the room to care about anything else. 

“I guess I can only ask the guild leader….” Megalim sighed and sent a message to Olivia. 

“You what!?” Olivia replied almost instantly. “Why do all the cool things always happen to my little sister!?” 

“I am not sure, but well, it happened,” Megalim replied while rubbing her nose. She was at a loss about this as well.

“Sit tight. I will be there soon with Staple. I will also send word out before I go in just in case being in the same guild ends up making us part of the fun as well.” Olivia was secretly hoping this was the case. She also wanted to play around as a boss!
