It was a starless night as two figures moved quickly and quietly through the darkness. They wore black from head to toe. They were currently heading towards the high end district where all the priests lived. 

“Go with the plan. Just infused a bit of mana into the runes and then toss them at the houses. No need to stick around.” 

“Got it.” 

The two figures split up and began throwing strange balls at the mansions. They had only moved a few houses up when orange flames began to appear behind them. But this did not deter their movement at all. They continued forward without even flinching or looking back. 

The objects that were thrown had a black fluid inside, and when they burst open, they sprayed outwards toward the mansions, covering them in this fluid. This fluid, once in contact with air, suddenly burst into flames, lighting the entire mansion on fire. It did not take long for the servants and guards to notice the issue, but by then, it was already too late as this fluid made flames spread quickly. The mansions were quickly engulfed in flames, and anyone inside was trapped with no way out unless they knew how to cast water magic.

More and more houses were lit on fire. The two figures moved throughout the entire upper district, throwing the runic balls at different mansions. But some mansions were skipped as well these mansions were mansions that were owned by merchants and not the priests. It was as if saying the goddess had had enough of the priests doing as they pleased and decided to pass down judgment. 

Only when they ran out of runic balls did the two figures finally disappear into the darkness as the flames danced in the night.

 In a room inside an inn, Shizuku slowly opened the door and stepped inside. She felt much more refreshed and hoped this would make the church think twice about doing anything to the other heroes. “Shizu….”

“Miyu, why are you awake? You should try to sleep.” Shizuku walked over with a helpless expression. She sat down next to Mei and hugged the Fox girl from behind. “You even made poor Mei stay awake.”

“Master, I wanted to wait up for you. It was Miss Miyu who stayed awake to accompany me.” Mei did not want Miyu to get in trouble when it was indeed her who was waiting up for Shizuku.

“I know I was just kidding.” Shizuku smiled as she gave Mei a kiss on the cheek. “Half the priest district is now on fire, so I wonder how the church will deal with it. They were so lax with the security in the area, thinking no one would ever dare to cause trouble that it was a simple in and out.”

    “As long as Master was able to safely return, Mei can feel at ease,” Mei stated seriously. Miyumi looked at Mei, who was staring at Shizuku lovingly and had an inkling that something happened between the two, especially after seeing Shizuku kiss Mei’s cheek.

“Are you two in you know….” Miyumi blushed. She did not know how to say it. 

“Hmm? Mei is so cute how could I ever resist?” Shizuku did not hide it. She would never hide her relationship with her cute fox girl. 

“Oh…” Miyumi felt as if her heart was breaking. She had hoped one day she could muster up the courage to confess to Shizuku, but now…

“Oh? What’s this…. Do I sense a hint of jealousy?” Shizuku teased as she smiled at Miyumi. After thinking for a second, Shizuku thought of something and said: “You might not be into girls, Miyu, but you should get used to it. Now that you are my slave, you can not go far from me unless I give permission. And I am a little reluctant to let you out of my sight. This means we will bathe together, sleep together, and even dungeon dive together. If I drink your blood, you will also end up getting turned on as well. Since it seems drinking the blood of others will make you feel good.”

“Ah?” Miyumi did not know how to react. Didn’t this mean she would be right next to the two girls when they did things? Miyumi really did not know what she thought about this. In a way, wanting to see Shizuku naked and moaning made her want to see it. But knowing it was not her doing it made her conflicted as well.

“Anyway, we first need to finish getting your wounds fully healed. Nora will be over tomorrow to give you proper healing. The scars can be healed, too, but it is better not to heal those right away. It will help hide your identity until we leave this city in the next month. Until then I will help level you up. I want you to be the same level us Mei and I before we leave. To be honest, I am glad you escaped. I do not like what happened to you or the girls, but as long as you are safe, then all is good. Miyu, we will leave this place and then one day return and get revenge on these bastards.” Shizuku did not realize she was setting the stage for her future self by saying these words. She would one day return, but that was a story for a later time.

“Mmm… I am glad I am with you too, Shizu…” Miyumi finally broke down in tears, which made Shizuku want to pamper the girl. She pulled Miyumi into a hug and gently patted her back, being careful not to touch her wounds.

That night, a sea of fire lit up the capital. But Shizuku, Miyumi, and Mei did not care. They spent the night together in a peaceful, quiet manner.
