“Sure!” The middle-aged man smiled as he continued: “My name is Mike, and I will be your helper today. As per your request, the big comfortable beds are this way.”

I looked at Mike and wondered if he realized he was not going to make a sale today. I was only asking so that we knew which bed we wanted before we had to go through them all after I stole everything. 

We went from bed to bed, where I had Jen try out each one until she found one she liked. Only then did I lay on it next to her to see how it felt, and I have to say that Jen made a very good choice. As I got up, I could see Mike’s expectant gaze and kind of felt bad for him since…. “We will be back in a few days. How many of these do you have in the warehouse?”

Mike’s eyes lit up as he said: “We have around ten of them. How many do you need?”

“Ten will do. I will be back by Friday.” I answered with a smile before holding Jen’s hand and saying goodbye to Mike. He saw us out looking extremely happy. I wonder how he will feel when he finds out that the company will be bankrupt by morning time.

“Ai, where are we going next?” Jen seemed like she was having fun. With our fingers interlocked, she was smiling happily. I hadn’t seen such a smile on her face since she was little.

“We are heading to the biggest home improvement store near us, Howes.” I checked online, and they had pretty much everything I needed. I was going to disrupt their cameras and take everything I could. 

It took forty minutes to get there. When we did, there were not many employees or customers around, which made things easier for me. Walking hand in hand with Jen, we went from aisle to aisle, taking everything in sight. I took paint, plumbing materials, ventilation systems, water heaters, wood, and many more things.  I could hear the screams coming from the aisles I had visited. I did not even let off the flooring section. After all, no one wants to walk on cold floors. I wanted our base to feel like a home and still have a stockpile of materials, just in case.  

When I was done, I walked out of the store with Jen as if nothing happened. Jen seemed a lot calmer this time. She actually did not seem nervous at all as she smiled and even had a skip to her step. 

Since we had left early, we did not have breakfast yet, so Jen and I stopped off at a restaurant to get a bite to eat. After that, we checked out the pharmacies and then went to the robotics hobby shop and an electronics store. The pharmacies and other stores would have to wait, but the furniture company, the robotics shop, and the electronics store would be my targets for tonight. Only then would I hit the lab. The lab was the hardest place I would need to get into. I would need a few helper bots to keep things under control. 

But with all the metal I have and the parts from the robotics shop for computer chips, I will be able to quickly make what I need. I figured within two days, I could set up my first phase generator and then make a smaller version for the robot swarms I plan to make to break into the stores. With the quantum space, they can just fly around the entire store and steal everything. As for why I was doing furniture first, well…. It was very important. My little wife needs a comfortable bed to sleep on.

When we were done, I decided to just head home. “Ai, are we not going back to the base?” Jen asked. 

“No, tonight we will be going out, so we will need to catch a few Zs beforehand. We have three places we need to go to tonight. First, the furniture store. Second, the robotics store, and third, the electronics store. Once we have everything we need, there will be one night where I will be going out alone.” I explained. 

“Are you sure it is okay for me to come with you tonight?” Jen nervously.

“Yep! You will just follow behind me. Make sure you take the gun I gave you. This is for a just-in-case scenario. But if something does happen, I plan to just put you on my back and run away. As for the lab, that has high security, and I will only be going in with robots. With my current skills, I should be able to quickly get the things I need. Only then would we be able to really get the base going.” Everything was coming together quickly. I did not know how well the lab would go, but I do not think anyone could stop me. 

When we got home, I felt sluggish. I hugged Jen from behind and kissed her neck before snuggling into it. She held onto my hands and leaned against me. “Jen, let’s go lay down.”

“Okay…” Jen nodded her head. We both walked into my bedroom, where I collapsed on the bed. Jen crawled up on it normally before snuggling up next to me. She looked so cute that I couldn’t help but kiss her lips. 

Before I realized it, our tongues were already intertwined. She was lying half on me as we kissed. My little wife was quite bold! As our lips parted, I looked up at the blushing girl and smiled. “How long have you liked me like this?”

“Since we were young,” Jen replied shyly. “You know I do not get along with men well. I do not like being near them. Only when I am with you do I feel myself and more alive. I have always wanted to be more than just friends. I tried to show my feelings by sticking close to you, but I could never say them outright because I was afraid you would reject me.”

“How could I reject such a cute girl?” I hugged Jen’s waist and kissed her lips once more. “Well, my dear little wife, from now on, we are stuck together like glue.”

“Okay.” Jen nodded happily. We kissed again before deciding to rest for a few hours. We had a long night ahead of us.
