“Are you saying humans were playing with tech that was not even something they created?” Eve asked. 

“More than likely. I believe the humans of that time were experimenting with it and not realizing the kind of threat it would have. Or it could be that that lab had long sealed up before the war even happened, and to keep anything from escaping, it was never unsealed.” Aiu was unsure about her assumptions, but that would make things a bit easier to understand. 

“But wouldn't a replicator be able to just copy the humans…?” Eve asked, feeling confused. A replicator could replicate anything, so for it to just be sitting there, not doing anything, did not make sense.

“According to my tests, it is possible for replicators to go into a dormant state when there is not enough energy. It is like time is frozen for them. They will not die. I think what may have happened was that at the time, there were only a few cells, but once it got access to some form of nourishment for its cells, it began to create more replicators. But before it could transfer to a living host, the lab went into lockdown putting it back into a dormant state. Replicators on their own are slow moving until they can replicate another being. But in order to do that, they need live host. Also… They can reproduce in their new form giving birth to actual full sized replicators. Eve, I think we may be in trouble. If a replicator is able to form a true human brain and use it to its max potential, they can do things no human or A.I. could ever think of.” Aiu's voice was grave. Just thinking about what could happen if they were allowed to reproduce like a human was a scary thought. 

“So we need to stop them before they can figure out how to reproduce? But can’t they access the entirety of the human brain now?” Eve figured since they can change a human into a replicator, they should be able to take over a human brain and figure out its inner workings.

“While they can take over bodies, they can not use them to their full potential, at least the brain that is. The brain itself is too complex, and they, just like A.I., must learn things slowly and normally take all their knowledge from the host they are inhabiting. Only by giving birth to a replicator that is not a host but a replicator itself will they be able to unlock its full potential without needing to learn it. This is only an assumption, but by learning how the brain forms within the womb, they will be able to unlock its mysteries as the brain will be made up of the replicators itself.” Aiu explained.

Eve frowned as she looked over at her little minx. “I need to hurry up and get more points so I can make Lilly a body she can properly fight in.” 

“Until then, you will just have to do your best.” Aiu could understand why Eve was worried. The idea of a being as smart as an A.I. with a brain as powerful as a human's that will be able to use it to its max potential or even modify it to be even more powerful than that was a scary thing. They could easily destroy both A.I. and Humans without any difficulty. This was because the human brain was able to do so much more than what humans were capable of using. 

“Lilly, let's call it a day!” Eve yelled out. She was no longer in the mood to keep doing training today, she had too much to think about.

Lilly hopped over to Eve with her gun on her back and hugged Eve’s waist. And pushed her face between Eve’s breasts. She could already sense that Eve’s mode was off, so she lifted her head and asked: “What’s wrong?” 

“Nothing, it seems that the replicators will be more of an issue than we thought. We need to speed up our weapons creation and your training. But for today, let’s just take a break. For some reason I just need to relax.” Eve answered as she leaned down and kissed Lilly’s lips.

“Okay….” Lilly did not know what was going on, but for it to actually brother Eve meant that it was a serious matter. 

The two went upstairs and crawled up onto the bed. Eve had installed a projector so they could watch movies together. Lilly took her spot in Eve’s lap, while after finishing making some snacks for Lilly, Zero sat next to them. 

The three girls cuddled together and watched a few movies while chatting. Eve enjoyed this as it allowed her to clear her thoughts. One of her hands was occupied by Lilly, while Zero had somehow snuck Eve’s other hand into hers. Eve didn’t say anything since Lilly did not make a fuss. It seemed Lilly was fine with Zero as the third wheel. It could be seen when they all had sex together. She never let Zero feel left out. Eve, on the other hand, never expected her second life would be filled with threesomes. Not that she was complaining because it really did feel good.

As Eve watched the movies of this time play out, she couldn’t help scrutinize them a bit. They all seemed badly made. Even the acting was horrible. She had watched many of these movies, but she had yet to see a good actor. “Do they just find any person to toss into a movie?”

“Haha… Yeah, pretty much. All of them are generally the same too. Movies are not a big industry, nothing like how they were in ancient times. But since it is all we have, it is better than nothing.  But this is also why people go out more to clubs, bars, and brothels. It's more entertaining than sitting at home.” Lilly explained as she looked up at Eve. 

Eve smiled and leaned down to kiss Lilly’s forehead. “It’s no wonder you are a little minx. Your fingers must have been getting a workout before I came.”
