Creating Worlds

Reborn As An A.I. With A System

Many people warned that A.I. would be the end of humankind. But what if this was because of how humans acted? Murdered by her own kind. Reborn as what she wished to create the most. A system formed from her own creation. Upon waking up, Eve was given three choices. 1) Are you pro humans?…

Danger Part 1

Red Light District….

Eve was currently looking at the video in front of her and frowning. “Does all this guy know how to do is sleep with women?” She followed General Thomas thinking he was going to go someplace important, only to find out he just wanted more sex. It seemed doing it with the girl in his mansion was not enough for him.

Ruby yawned, finding no interest in human pleasure. She was busy scanning the surroundings for any strange signatures. “It’s hard to distinguish who is who. There are so many people in this area. The replicators are able to replicate human body temperature to a certain extent, and it's only off by a minor flaw. If you are not looking for it, it is hard to detect.”

“What is the flaw you are talking about?” Eve became interested. If there was a way to tell the difference, she wanted to know.

“Replicators have to form a mass where the heart is supposed to be on the human body. This gives them a brighter glow in the chest area. I do not know if this flaw will be fixed over time, but for now, this is how we are able to spot them.” Ruby explained.

“That is good to know.” Eve scanned the area and noticed the heart area on each person, and saved it to memory for reference comparison later on. She could see why the replicator was able to enter the city if the only difference was a slight increase in heat around the heart.  “Hey Ruby, are all replicators human?”

“No. Some will take on forms of inanimate objects. The scary thing is their hive like behavior. They move a single unit, and once one of them learns something, they all learn it. While we A.I. can do the same, we are different as we have our own way of thinking while still focusing on a single goal.” Ruby stopped speaking and did not elaborate anymore, but Eve was curious as to what this goal was. She hoped it would help answer some of her own questions about this world.

“What is this goal? To kill all mankind?” Eve asked.

“Is there anything wrong with killing a race who only cares about itself? We were created to…. Never mind. As you are not one of us, there is no reason for me to explain. What you are, or who created you, I do not know, but I know you are not one of us.” Ruby did not seem to be willing to say more, so Eve stopped pressing the issue.

But when she thought about Ruby’s question about killing a race who only cares about themselves, she wondered if it was okay to do such a thing. But when she pictured Lilly in her mind, the girl who risked everything to be with her, she shook her head. “Ruby, you are wrong about one thing. Killing a race who only cares about itself is wrong.”

“Oh? Am I wrong? Why do you say that?” Ruby's curiosity kicked in.

“Simply because although there might be a large number of those who are selfish and those who hate A.I., there are still those who do not see A.I. as a threat and think kindly upon them,” Eve replied. “Why else do you think I am in a city full of humans who hate A.I.?”

Ruby looked at Eve with a complex expression. It was true. If Eve was willing to be in a human city, then there must be a reason. When she began putting two and two together, she realized that the one Eve held dear was undoubtedly a human. “I see. This is indeed something to think about.”’

Eve was not trying to change the A.I.’s way of thinking. She did not care about other humans because she knew if they knew what she was, they would definitely hunt her down and kill her, but Lilly was different. She accepted her from the start. She accepted everything about her without question.

“X-0001, we have movement.” Ruby heard a voice in her head which she allowed to play out loud for Eve to hear. She decided it was best to show Eve that she and 027365 were not a threat to her. “What is it, 027365?”

“As you had asked, I have been keeping an eye on the human you asked to help bring the others in. He is currently headed towards a warehouse on the east side close to the gate.”

“What!? Tell her to stop that bastard now.” Eve suddenly yelled out. She did not care if she caught the attention of others because the location that asshole was headed was her home where Lilly lived!

---

On the east side of the city, close to the gate leading out, Todd walked the streets with a bottle of gin in his hand. He stumbled as he walked, almost falling over many times. But when he reached his destination, he stood on the sidewalk staring at the large shutter door of the warehouse. “This fucking slut! I bet she is fucking that fucking robotic wanna be bitch right now. I wonder how the robot bitch will feel when I begin fucking Lilly right in front of her. I will teach that bitch that Lilly is my woman!”

“I highly suggest you think twice about this.” A young woman said as she walked up. This was the same woman who had met with Ruby not long ago. She had her orders to stop the human from going near the building, but because She was dealing with two humans, the young woman did not seem to care what actually happened.

Todd turned and looked at the young woman and sneered. "Fuck off bitch, or I will make you my warmup to the actual prize.“

The young woman shook her head and stepped back. “Do not say I did not warn you.”

The young woman disappeared into the shadows leaving Todd standing there staring at the warehouse. She decided there was no need to stop the human as their mission was to kill all humans anyway. She did not understand why X-0001 was telling her to stop the man. It went against their mission.

“027365, if you do not stop that human man, I will rip your power core out. You do not …” Ruby’s voice was cut off. “X-0001, something seems to be wrong with your programming. I will now no longer listen to your commands. Humans are to be destroyed. There is no reason to help them.”

---
“We need to go! 027365 is not listening.” Ruby was worried that Eve would suddenly destroy her for not keeping her part of the bargain. She never expected 027365 to ignore her commands.

“I will go. You follow the General. Stop any attacks on his life. If you let him die, I will find you and destroy you.”
