“This should do it….” Two days later and working non-stop day and night. Even finally had the laser drill completed and in place for her to begin drilling. “Lilly, you're sure there is nothing under this area, right? Once I start, it will destroy anything in its path.”

“Yes, the scanner showed there is nothing even a mile down. If you do hit something, then it's definitely not made by humans.” Lilly answered. She had put a lot of effort into the scanner because it was something Eve needed, so she was very careful to make sure all her tests were one hundred percent accurate. She scanned the entire floor and detected many things, including the pipe that ran under the house on one side. She also found a glove of some kind embedded into the cement of the basement. To be sure that it was actually a glove, she even chipped away at the cement about a foot down and pulled it out. 

“Alright, then stand back behind the shield I made just in case. If something goes wrong and this works differently than I expect, I do not want you to get hurt.”  Eve warned as she pointed to the large metal shield. “Also, remember to wear the glasses I made if you want to look at the light.”

Lilly smiled and saluted before putting her glasses on and going behind the shield that had a spot that she could look into to see what was going on, on the other side without being in direct line of sight. Eve was using one of the metal plates from the destroyer that seemed to be able to absorb the laser rays. When Eve tested it, she found a new kind of chemical she had never seen before that seemed to be the cause. She still needed more time to analyze it and replicate it, but weapons came first.

Eve checked to make sure Lilly was out of sight before she stood at the controls that were on the moveable platform of the laser drill and finally flipped the switch. A bright purple, reddish light flew down, drilling a deep hole into the ground. The platform the Eve was standing on suddenly moved forward, then left, then backwards, before moving right. Once it hit the edge of where it began drilling it, it moved forward once more. Eve had already done the math and knew that the drill could only drill about five hundred feet down depending on the type of rock it hit. 

The good thing about this laser drill was its ability to vaporize everything into nothing, which meant no clean-up. Just a clean-cut hole in the rock bed going down. There was nothing but rock underneath them, and with how smooth the cut was from the laser, there was no need to worry about any kind of cave-in, but eve still planned to check for safety reasons..

In just a matter of five minutes, the last bit of the hole was cut out, and Eve turned off the laser. She walked over to the hole and peered down inside to check it out and was amazed to see that she how smooth the cut was. “Seems safe. Lilly, get the cable. I will climb down.” 

The whole was only a few feet wider than the second laser drill holder. Eve had designed two versions, one for cutting down and another for cutting sideways. The one that could cut sides ways gave much more freedom in how it cut than the one that could only cut down. “Here you go.” Lilly walked over with a cable that she had connected to an anchor that they had already prepared and handed it to Eve.

“Okay, I will be back up in a few minutes.” Eve was going down for two reasons. The first reason was to check the safety of the hole. She, for one, did not want to get squished under a rock while drilling out the next section. At the same time, she was checking the strength of the rock to see if she could use it to run rails down in to install a lift. The second reason was she was checking for water leaks. She did not want to be standing in a pool of water. ‘

“Be careful!” Lilly pulled Eve over and kissed her lips. “If it seems unsafe, come back up immediately.”

“I will.” Eve smiled. She then turned and tossed the cable into the hole before she slowly began her descent.

Every few feet, she would stop and check the surrounding walls to make sure they were safe. She did this by using a pole she had in her inventory and pushing and poking the walls with it with a decent amount of strength. With each test, she would check for any cracks in the wall before moving on. It took a while, but she finally reached the bottom of the hole and bent down and touched the rock. “Still cool to the touch. That is a good sign.” 

Eve took out the scanner Lilly had made and scanned the surrounding rocks to find that she was surrounded by thick rock on all sides that went for about a mile, from what she could tell. “Looks good. Now to test one more thing.”  Eve looked up at the wall in front of her and took out a large spike and a hammer. She then hammered the spike into the wall before scanning it again to check for any internal cracks. “Looks like we can do this safely then. The rails will act as supports for the main structure of the wall anyway, so it should be fine.”

With her testing done, Eve climbed back up the hole to report her findings to Lilly. “It all look safe. I will start work on the lift next. Once the lift is done, the main section of the testing area is next.” 

“That’s good to hear, but before any of that….” Lilly walked over in her bare feet and jumped up at Eve, making Eve have to reach out and catch her. Lily then wrapped her arms and legs around Eve and pressed her lips onto hers. As their lips parted, Lily gave a seductive smile as she whispered softly: “You have to give me some attention too!”

Eve smiled and carried Lilly over to the bed. “Remember you asked for this. So I will not stop until you pass out.”

“Hehe. I would not ask for anything less from the girl I fell in love with.”
