“Dammit, why!?” Eve scratched her head, she had been working on this program all day, but no matter what, using the code they have, she was having a hard time transferring the data correctly. “If I could just rewrite their code…”

“It would make things easier, but we can’t. It is inspected every day to make sure it was not hacked by bad A.I.” Lilly sighed. She knew this was the only way for Eve to go outside the city. But the code they were using was too messy.

“No, there has to be a way! If I can just catch the signal and then bounce it back… But that would require some kind of special device… Ahhh! I hate this!” Eve stomped her feet. Any time she was stuck, she would begin throwing a tantrum. It was the same thing when she was working on coding Aiu. She would kick and scream until she couldn’t take it anymore, and with tears in her eyes, she would go back to working on the code. 

Lilly watched from the side with warm eyes as she was getting to see more and more sides of Eve. She reached over and hugged Eve and kissed her cheek. “We will get it.”

Eve pouted and nodded her head. It was the first time someone treated her so warmly like this. She did not mind it one bit. With Lilly still hugging her, she went back to work. Eve worked through the night while Lilly, at some point, found a comfortable spot and was currently curled up in her lap sleeping. 

“Wait… I am going about this all wrong. Instead of trying to capture the wavelengths of the light, I could just copy Lilly’s body heat over to me… instead.  I will need to do some work on my own body, but I think it is possible. I would need to do it sooner or later, so why not now. The only downside is that my torso and waist are not done yet… But this would make things much easier. Although… Lilly will need to wear sensors herself…” Eve rubbed her chin and looked down at the peacefully sleeping girl. A smile crept up on her face as she leaned down and kissed the top of Lilly’s head. 

The next morning Lilly found herself still in Eve’s lap, which made her smile, knowing Eve did not mind her being cuddly with her. She lifted her head to see Eve looking back at her causing her to blush as Eve's voice entered her ears. “You're awake?”

“Mm… Good morning.” Lilly answered while nodding her head. Her eyes locked on to Eve’s lips.

Eve chuckled inside and leaned down and kissed Lilly’s lips causing Lilly to grin as she tossed her arms around Eve’s neck. Tezz covered her eyes with her stubby paws while Aiu tapped into Eve’s sensations to try to understand the feeling of kissing. 

After a long kiss, their lips parted, and Lilly, with blushing cheeks, got up to clean up and get changed. While she was doing that, Eve filled Lilly in on what she discovered. “So I will need your help setting up sensors on my body to act as a fake heat source. I will also need to have you wear sensors on your body as well that will act as a heat transfer that will copy the data that their sensors would pick up to the sensors I place on my body. These sensors will then act in a way that will spread it evenly on my body, faking a heat source. Ahhh! I am not the best at explaining what is going on in my head, so I hope you understand.”

“We just need to place sensors on our bodies, right?” Lilly asked as she slipped into the bathtub.

Eve nodded as she walked over and picked up a towel at the side and dampened it, and began gently washing Lilly’s face for her. “Yeah. With the sensors, we should be able to transfer the heat. I figure I can use the same method to add a sensor to Tezz to make her whole body seem cold.”

“Hopefully, this idea will work. I really want to show Tezz the outside world. And I want to go on another adventure with you.” Lilly had her eyes closed as she spoke. She was really enjoying the pampering Eve was giving her.

“After the sensors, we will need to fix the truck up next. Otherwise, we will not be going anywhere.” Eve reminded. They had yet to fix the truck and make it a hauler.

“Do you think we can make it an armored vehicle? We should have enough metal laying around upstairs.” Lilly was currently picturing herself driving down the road in a mean looking truck with thick metal plates on it.

“What good is armor? It will just slow us down. But we can add some crude weapons for the time being. I was thinking of making some simple weapons to make use of any sharp metal scraps lying around.” Eve could see using something like a railgun type weapon using the energy from the gravity engine. It would use the scrap metal as ammo, and with how much scrap Lilly had in her warehouse, it would be easy to keep it loaded.

“That sounds good! If it was ejected at a high velocity, then it would easily be able to penetrate through a scavenger's outer shell.” Lilly’s eyes were filled with excitement. 

“Yep! So clean up, and let’s get to work. The quicker we get things done, the sooner we can head out!” Eve said as she gently combed her hands through Lilly’s hair.

“Mmm.. But only after you wash your hair.” Lilly said as she leaned her head back and poked Eve’s cheek.

It was only now that Eve realized she once again had to take care of her hygiene. She pursed her lips and decided she would one day create a system for auto cleaning her body. Bathing took too much time out of the day! But the more she thought about it, the realized she would need to make sure she was fully waterproof as well, or she might end up shorting something out and never being able to move again. This thought alone made Eve worry.
