Creating Worlds

Reborn As An A.I. With A System

Many people warned that A.I. would be the end of humankind. But what if this was because of how humans acted? Murdered by her own kind. Reborn as what she wished to create the most. A system formed from her own creation. Upon waking up, Eve was given three choices. 1) Are you pro humans?…

Information Broker

Eve tilted her head and looked at the two people in front of her. Even if she did not have much in terms of relations with real people, she was not stupid enough to not know what they were implying, but that did not mean she would not make use of this chance to have a small conversation. “Sure, let’s go have a 'good time' in the back alley over there.”

The two large men with tattoos both grinned widely, exposing their disgusting yellow teeth as one of them said: “Haha, I like girls like you. Come, let’s go.”

One of the men put his arm around Eve’s shoulder, ushering her towards the alley. She did not resist, in fact, she was hoping they would be dumb enough to get close to her.

Five minutes later….

“Please stop hitting us!” One of the large men in tattoos yelled out. Both of the men who wanted a good time with Eve were now currently on the ground, black and blue. Some of their limbs turned in directions that human bones could not turn.

Eve raised her foot and stomped down once more, ignoring the man’s plea. A cracking sound was heard, and the man once more screamed out, but this time it was a scream of pain. “Tell me where I can find information. I need information not normally known by others.”

“In the bar! There is an old man that goes by the name Gus. He always sits in the back at a table alone drinking whisky.” The man under Eve’s foot cried out. He could feel the bones in his legs grinding under the girl's metal foot.

“Thanks. It has been fun ‘having a good time’ with you. Let’s do it again some time.” Eve flashed a beautiful smile before turning to leave.

The two large men with tattoos lay on the ground, unable to move. They hoped to never see that demon girl again. They would never want to ‘have a good time’ with her again!

“Brother, I think I want to get a normal job now.” One of the large men with tattoos said in a low voice.

“I am right there with you, brother. If we ever run into that girl again, I do not know what will happen. Maybe next time, you will be calling me sister.” The other large man with tattoos replied with a bitter smile before wincing in pain.

Eve had no idea that her actions had ‘reformed’ the two men she just beat up as she walked into the bar. There were many people inside, from old to young but most looked as if they were run over by a truck. No one really paid attention to Eve except a few men here and there who called out to her, but she ignored them and walked to the back of the bar.

The music blared some kind of cyberpunk style music as waiters and waitresses passed out orders within the smokey bar room. Eve walked to the back of the room to find an old man sitting there with a bottle of whiskey next to him. Seeing as she might have the right guy, Eve walked up with a smile as she asked: “May I sit here?”

“It is always a pleasure to share a table with a beautiful woman.” The old man replied with a nod.

“I thank you then.” Eve did not stand on ceremony and sat down.

The old man took a shot of whiskey and looked at the lovely lady in front of him and asked: “A lady like you wouldn’t show up at a place like this, nor would she ask to sit with a drunken old man such as myself. So the only other reason you would be here sitting in front of me is because you need information, am I correct?”

“That you are. I need some information on two things. I wonder if you would be able to help me out.” Eve leaned forward and rested her chin in between her hands as she stared at the old man.

“It all depends. Tell me what you want to know. If I know, I will give you a price.” The old man replied.

“I need to know the whereabouts of General Thomas, and I also need to know if there have been any sightings of any strange looking humans as of late.” Eve got straight to the point. If the old man did not know, then there was no need for her to be here. As for pay…. Well, the old man would not be able to say no.

The old man looked into Eve’s eyes that were staring back at him and felt a small chill run down his old spine. He had a feeling that the girl in front of him was not someone people should mess with. He let out a sigh because he had a feeling he was not getting paid this time around. After being in this kind of business for so long, he knew there were times to press for money and times when he should let things slide. “I have information on both. As for payment…. Since such a young beautiful woman was willing to grace me with your presence, I will waive the fee this time around.”

Eve smiled hearing this. She was glad she didn’t need to strong arm the old man. “Then I will have to thank you and my good looks.”

“Haha!” The old man let out a laugh. He then placed a device on the table and pressed a button. A transparent blue barrier formed around the table surrounding the two. “This barrier will keep others from hearing what I am about to say. I do make a living selling information, after all. Now about what you want to know.”

An hour passed and Eve walked out of the bar with her hands in her jacket pockets as she made her way out of the back alley. When she thought about the information she had just received, Eve couldn’t help but sigh. “It seems things will get lively….”

Back in the shop, the old man took another shot of whiskey as he stared at the spot Eve was just sitting. “That girl feels terrifying. Something about her just made me feel as if I could have died at any second without being able to do anything.”

“Boss, should I follow her?” A man walked up and asked.

“Are you dumb? If I was willing to give her information, then that means we can not handle her. Just let it be. There are many mysterious things in this world, and she is one of them.” The old man replied with a snort.

“Understood.” The man bowed his head and went back to his position to continue his guard duty.
