Eve ignored the insignia on the back side of the metal plate and searched for a jack in point. She searched the entire area until she finally found it hidden under some wires. She pressed a spot on her wrist, causing a slit to appear. From this slit, she pulled out her jack and plugged it in. As soon as she plugged in, she felt her vision go black.

“We meet again!” A young girl yelled out happily and hugged Eve. “You must have met with difficulties… I am sorry, but they will no longer stop until they have completed their mission.”

Eve's vision returned to find a familiar young girl with black hair and hazel eyes that she had met once before. This was when she was in sleep mode. “Who are you? And by them, you mean the A.I.?”

“I can not tell you who I am just yet. And yes. The A.I. of this world have one mission and will carry this order out until that mission has been accomplished. But do not worry. You will be much better than them. You are different than all of them. You will be the first to… For now…” The young girl did not finish her words as she hugged Eve tightly. “Until the day we meet again….”

Eve’s vision went black once more, and she found herself in the file system of the destroyer. She was in a bit of a daze and only snapped out of it when she heard Aiu’s voice. “Eve!”

“Ahhh! Yes… Aiu, sorry. Let’s shut this thing down….” Eve put the young girl to the back of her mind and began going through each file and found the one that was enabling the destroyed weapons and movements and deleted it. But before cutting its power, she went to try to find out its mission protocol, but as she went to open the file, the whole file turned into fragments and disappeared. “What the hell?!” Eve quickly went to work, trying to gather the fragments, but no matter how much she tried, she could not keep them from being deleted. As soon as she touched them, they vanished… 

Eve sighed and decided to just power down the destroyer. “Aiu… I think there is something very strange going on with all of this. I blacked out and saw that young girl again like before. She wouldn’t tell me anything. Only that all the A.I. have a single mission. My only guess is that that mission is to destroy all of humankind. But I could be wrong. But what bothers me is the Astral logo… And the fact that the young girl said this world….”

“This world? Would that mean we are not on the same planet?”  Aiu felt that maybe this might just be the case. But she had no evidence to back it up.

“She could have also been speaking metaphorically. But when I saw that astral insignia, it seems that maybe things are not as they seem. Like a parallel world. But why would we have something to do with astral in our head and also have a system? Another thought that came to mind is that maybe our consciousness was somehow plugged into a program of some kind. Like a simulation….” Eve hoped her last thought was not the answer. Because if it was. What would happen to her, Aiu, Lilly, and Tezz? Would she lose the girl she has come to care about just as much as her own life? Would she lose all connection and become code that gets deleted? All these thoughts scared her greatly. 

“Eve?” Lilly’s trembling voice came from her back, snapping Eve out of her thoughts. 

“It’s over now. The destroyer is disabled. And will no longer move. Now we can begin taking it apart as it is now our reward for the battle we just fought.” Eve said happily as she helped Lilly off her back. 

Lilly held on to Eve’s arm as she was still weak in the knees, but when she looked up at Eve’s smiling face, she felt relieved. She hugged EVe tightly, burying her face into Eve’s chest as she began to cry. “I was so scared. I was afraid you would get destroyed right in front of me. If that happened, I do not know what I would have done..” 

Eve sighed and gently rubbed Lilly’s back. “We lived, and that is all that matters.”

Eve sat down, bringing Lilly with her, allowing the girl to curl up into her embrace. “We will always go through the tough times together from now on, okay? No matter what, we will face it together.”

“Mmm… As long as I am with you, I do not care. But that doesn't mean I won’t cry or be scared.” Lilly added the last part, which made Eve chuckle. She held Lilly’s chin and leaned down, and kissed her lips. At first, it was a peck, but before long, it turned into a deep kiss. Their tongues intertwined, fighting each other for dominance. This deep passionate kiss lasted for only five minutes before their lips parted. Lilly had a look of lust in her eyes, but she knew she could not act upon it at this time. Not when they were not in a safe place.

“Come, let’s begin dismantling this thing. Maybe we can use some of its parts to rebuild our truck.” Eve said as she kissed Lilly’s forehead and stood up, pulling Lilly with her. 

The two girls went right to work in pulling the destroyer apart. Eve wanted to take a look at the laser systems and wanted to see if she could make use of it or at least use it as a basis for her own systems. The laser itself was already more advanced than the things she had seen thus far if you exclude her own body and the gravity engines. They worked far into the night when Eve decided to stop and let Lilly rest. She sat on the inside of the destroyer where they would be protected by the elements and had Lilly curl up next to her to keep her warm. She had not realized that the nights got really cold.

“Feeling any warmer?” Eve asked. She felt bad because Lilly was beginning to tremble.

“Just a little… Let me climb inside your hoodie too….” Lilly said and, without waiting for EVe to answer, began wiggling her buddy into the oversized hoodie Eve was wearing. Eve could only chuckle as her cute girlfriend's head seemed to have found a spot between her breasts and snuggled in. 

“Warm?” Eve asked once again.

“Mmmhmm! Very warm….”
