“Haha…” Eve let out a laugh as she stared at the young girl in front of her called X-0001. “How dumb would I need to be to tell you such things? Just know that if you step over the line, I will not hesitate to destroy you. Do not touch those close to me. Also… Just because you seem advanced. It is not anywhere close to being advanced enough. I can track you anywhere in the city.” 

Eve had Aiu confirm it, and she was able to get the signal out of the young girl's energy core. There was no mistaking it now. On top of that, she was also able to detect the other A.I. in the city.

The young girl's face turned cold as she pointed her umbrella at Eve. “You make a lot of threats for an unarm…. Oh? Now, this is much more interesting than I thought.” 

The young girl watched as Even pulled a weapon out of her inventory.  Just seeing her pull anything out of thin air was amazing, but the weapon she pulled out was also very intriguing to the young girl as it was not a standard weapon most would see. It was one of her railgun weapons, except this one was modified to shoot real ammo and was much more powerful.

Eve rested her weapon on her shoulder and looked at the young girl. She was unsure if the rail gun would do any damage to the young girl, but it would be at least powerful enough to knock her back and give Eve time to toss out a gravity orb that was converted into a grenade design. “You were saying?”

The young girl looked at Eve’s confidant expression and scanned both Eve and the weapon in her hand. ‘The head architecture is very strange, but the chest is even stranger. I can not see what the makeup of the internals are. The legs are of an old military model. I see no actual access points on her at all. Only a single plug. It’s like she was coded from the inside out. This is not an A.I. type I know of. I should act accordingly.’

“Since you can trace me, my guess is you can trace 027365 as well… I ask before you attack to at least make contact with us first. While we do have plans for this city, we will do what we can not to get in your way. As for the other kind, I can not say for sure what their plans are.”  The young girl decided to take a step back. She could not let their plans be ruined at this time.

“That is fine. I do not plan to get involved in any of your schemes. But I do need you to tell me everything you know about this 'them' you speak of.” Eve decided to push for information. Since the young girl took a step back, she would take a step forward.

“I do not mind telling you.” The young girl rested her umbrella on her shoulder and walked over to Eve. Eve, of course, kept her weapon on her the entire time, but the young girl did not show any hostility. “Look at this.”

A ray of light shot out of her eye, and an image appeared in front of Eve. When she saw the image, Eve frowned. The young girl saw this and became curious. “Oh? Have you seen this man before?”

“That I have. Well, he did not look like that, but I was the one who killed him. And I am pretty damn sure he was dead.” Eve replied as she tried to figure out why the man was still alive. What's more, she wondered what was up with all the purple and cracked skin.

“These are what we call replicators. They are a new breed of A.I., a biological A.I. Although I say biological, they were still made up of machines, just millions upon millions of them all working in sync. They are a hive type A.I. and are very dangerous. We only came across them about a month or so ago. How long has it been since you killed the man here?” The young girl asked.

“Hmmm, around the same time frame… But now that I think about it. The lab I went to before had a strange purple fungus or plant growing on one of its walls, covering a good amount of the hallway. But on my second trip there, I do not remember seeing anything of the sort. I did have to kill lots of zombies, though, but that is besides the point. So you're saying these things are not human, and one is in the city?” Eve asked.

“Yes. I do not know their plans, but I can not allow them to use the humans here as hosts. It is also them who seems to be planning something against your general here.” The young girl paused and tapped her chin. After a moment, her eyes lit up as she asked: “How about we work together? Our goals this time are in sync. This will also allow us to understand each other better.” 

Eve did not answer right away. She fell into thought for a moment before asking: “I can work with you, but you need to do me a favor.” This time Eve made an image of a person appear before her. This time it was an Image of Todd. “This man here. I need you to keep an eye on him for me and send me information about his whereabouts.”

The young girl saw the image and felt a little surprised. “Why do you need information on his whereabouts?”

“Because he is a threat to what I hold dear to me,” Eve responded honestly.

“Is that so? Do you want him killed? Because to be honest, I did make contact with this man recently. He seemed quite upset about someone stealing the girl he loved.” The young girl was starting to put two and two together.

Eve swung her weapon and pressed it against the young girl's head, her eyes cold. “Do you really want to fuck with me?”

“Calm down! This was before I knew you. If he is after what you hold dear, then we will only use him and not give him what he wants. He is just a chess piece in our game. But before he can die, I still need him to allow a few of my kind people to bypass the gate system. I can hand him to you after that. But now that everything is in lockdown, this plan is on hold.”
