“That’s ten!” Sora yelled out as he began running towards the crevice. In order to get this last soul, he had to go a few more feet than he had wanted to from the crevice entrance, but he had no other choice if he wished to get that last soul. But sometimes, luck does run out. He was only a few feet from the crevice when Yumi yelled out in his mind. “Quickly dodge to the left!”

Sora had no time to question Yumi as he jumped to the left only to have a huge claw come down where he was just standing. He turned to see a monster that resembled the one he ate standing there with its blood-red eyes staring at him. Its mouth was slightly open, revealing its bloody teeth and large tongue. It opened its large mouth more and went to reach out and bite Sora, but before it could, Sora had already stretched out his hand and pressed the fireball button blasting a fireball down its throat. The monster's head exploded off its shoulder, revealing a somewhat larger soul than the ones he had been collecting. 

Wasting no time, Sora grabbed the soul and ran back to the crevice. He pushed his way to his little safe haven and collapsed almost immediately, and rolled onto his back. His chest was rising and falling at a fast pace. His heart was almost beating out of his chest. He had no time to even be scared as all his adrenalin began rushing at that very moment he casted his fireball. 

“Sora, are you okay!?” Yumi asked. She was full of worry. She knew Sora just came close to death which could affect someone’s mental condition. She hoped this close call would not stop Sora from pushing forward like he was before.

“I’m fine. I just felt like my heart was about to come out of my chest. Sorry and thanks… Yumi, you just saved my life.” Sora was very grateful that Yumi was at his side and warned him before he lost his head.

“No need to thank me. We are in this together.” Yumi replied. She felt much better knowing Sora did not seem too bothered by what had just happened. “You should rest and come into your dreamscape. We can fuse the souls you got into your body, allowing you to grow stronger.”

“Alright…” Sora got up and went to the other side of his campfire spell that was still going and laid down next to it to keep his body warm. 

When he entered his dreamscape, he was greeted by a red-faced Yumi who walked over and hugged him before whispering into his ear. “Sit and close your eyes… We will start the fusion process now.”

“Are we going to do that again? I thought we only needed to hold hands to fuse the souls?” Sora asked. He could have sworn that he remembered Yumi saying that.

“That is for when I do not accept the person as my master even if they become the master of the soul fusion lantern. But for you…. I am willing to make sure you can fuse the more of the soul, which will greatly benefit you even more and give you more points to your stats.” Yumi answered as she sat on Sora’s lap, hugging him as she did last time. She pressed her forehead against his and looked into his eyes, her cheeks a deep crimson. “Close your eyes. I will start….”

“Mmm….” Sora did as he was told and quickly felt Yumi’s soft lips on his and her tongue slipping into his mouth. This time he was not as stunned and reacted to her tongue swirling around his mouth by doing the same to her. His actions seemed to have caused a reaction from Yumi, who seemed to deepen the kiss even more. Her legs and arms also tightened around him more. 

Sora soon began to feel a warm sensation flowing down his throat, this time it was a steady stream. Sora’s hands ran up and down Yumi’s naked back, causing her breath to become heavy. His actions were a natural reaction that he was not even aware that he was doing. The two seemed to have gotten lost in their kiss. Time ticked by, and the stream of warmth had already subsided, but yet the two showed no signs of stopping their kiss. 

The two kissed for almost fifteen minutes before finally parting their lips. Sora had a faint smile on his lips while Yumi blushed from ear to ear. She had no idea what came over her. Once She felt Sora kissing her back, she lost herself in the sensation, completely forgetting that she was helping him fuse the souls. While she still subconsciously did help him fuse the souls, she still felt very embarrassed. More so that she felt her inner thighs were slightly wet….

Sora, on the other hand, felt proud of himself. He had just experienced something very amazing. Not only did the kiss with Yumi feel good, but the process of fusing new souls into his body made him feel amazing from the tips of his feet all the way to the top of his head. His entire body was brimming with energy, and even his mind seemed much more clear. 

Rubbing her nose, Yumi quickly switched positions and sat in Sora’s lap with her back facing him. She took a deep breath to calm herself, before saying: “Let’s open your menu and look at the effects.”

Sora did not say anything and opened his menu.

“Is this normal?” Sora asked. All his stats had doubled, some even tripled!

“T-This is the effect of the way we just fused the souls into your body. If we had only done this by holding hands, you would have only gotten maybe half or even less points. But the way we did it had fused 90% of the souls into your body. Which is the max amount a soul can be fused through kissing.” Yumi replied.

“Oh? So to get max, we would have to do what?” Sora asked curiously.

“We would have to…. We will talk about that when you are older….” Yumi couldn’t bring herself to say it. She was already kissing Sora so intimately as it was at his age. She did not want to go further than that at this time.
