Tim Buckley failed at the most important thing in life, he failed to get Truck Kun'd. Since he was too much of a degenerate to be sent to another world, he was sent back to his original body to spend his life in a coma. But things were not all bad. He was able to…

Quest For The Skull Flower Part 1

Lexy looked at the message in front of her, then looked at Megalim, who nodded her head. She nodded back, and the two both hit yes. As soon as they did, the doctor seemed to grow extremely happy. "Oh, thank the king of hell! With how you are so willing to help like this shows just how well the undead and the living can get along. Please go to the location and retrieve the skull flower as fast as you can. I am afraid I can only keep the knight captain alive for so long."

"We will do our best!" Lexy replied reassuringly. She then grabbed Megalim's hand and left the building. Only when they got outside and smelled the air that was much fresher than inside did they both let out a long breath. "Gah! I thought I was going to die."

"Me too! But Lexy, you were so calm. It was really amazing. I could not talk so casually while trying to hide my disgust." It was not that she was disgusted by the undead themselves, although they were creepy and sort of scary, it was the smell that was the issue, and she was afraid of offending them if she showed any sign of disgust! It took all she had to keep a straight face without speaking. If she had to speak she would have really made it known that she was unable to deal with the smell. And that probably would have caused them to be offended.

"You did a good job! To be honest, if it was not for my Gamer Spirit spell, I would have already run away, never mind trying to hold back the expressions on my face. But no matter what, what stinks, stinks… My nose is burning!" Lexy complained. Her nose was much more sensitive than Megalims.

Megalim and Lexy walked towards the east side of the town towards the east gate. To get there, they had to go down the main street, which had an array of stalls selling many different items. It could be said that this was the street market of the town. It was just that the items that were for sale were not something ordinary people would consider wanting to buy.

There were rotting rats and bones of birds hanging up at what looked to be a food stall. They were deep-frying them both in some kind of black oil. There were ghostly objects that would make people's hair stand up on end being sold at another stall. There was also a stall selling hairpins made out of bone as well. Out of all the items they saw as they walked past, the hairpins were the most normal. Not even the clothing store was a place for living people as all the clothes were tattered and full of holes. But what Lexy found funny was that the clothing store, they were making the clothes themselves but still, someone looked as if they were worn for ages when they were finished. She wondered if their clothes were just some kind of fashion fad.

They left the east gate and headed towards the mountain cliffs that they were told to go to. The trip was to take them a few days, and there were lots of undead monsters roaming around in the forest as well. The low-lying fog also did not help with trying to avoid these monsters since the visibility was not very good. If not for their mini-maps, they could easily get lost until the fog lifted, if it ever lifted.

"Lexy, watch out!" Megalim warned as a massive bone bear claw that was nothing but bones lashed out at Lexy.

"I got it! Hit them with your spells!" Lexy yelled out. She was already tanking two other monsters: an undead horned rabbit and a sludge slime.

"Lexy, next time you have a chance, up your intelligence and mana, then I can give you a healing spell and a holy smite spell. It's just the holy smite is mana intensive while the basic healing is not as bad." Nana could see that Lexy was still on the low-health end of things. If not for the fact that her speed was high, she would have easily been crushed to mush by now. She was only short a few more points for more spells, but Nana was also holding back in order for Lexy to gain some more experience while fighting. If Nana had to judge Lexy's battle ability, she would say it is as if she was a toddler learning how to walk.

"Mmm, I will." Lexy had to retract her sword whip back to its sword form to block the attack from the bone bear.  As soon as she felt the power of the bone bear slam into her sword whip, she quickly jumped back, using that same power to give herself more room to work with.

"Fireball!" Megalim was on the back lines casting fireball after fireball at the sludge slime. It was very resistant to all attacks and one of the harder monsters at low levels to face as its defenses were so high. Even Lexy's sword whip with her high attack power was only doing around ten points of damage to it. You would think something like this would be a world boss, but it was just a normal monster. And even though only a few of them spawned in certain areas. Lexy and Megalim were just unlucky to run into it along with two other monsters.

Megalims fireball hit for the eighth time, this time finally causing the sludge slime to turn into cubes of light and disappear. She then quickly sent another fireball out to instantly kill the undead horned rabbit. All that was left was the bone bear. Luckily they were only powerful with high health but could easily be damaged. And even though it was a level seventeen monster with both Megalim and Lexy working together, they were quickly depleting the bone bear's health until it followed right behind the other two monsters.

"Ahhh! That was tiring." Lexy sat down on the ground and opened her menu. "How many points do I need for healing?"

"Add four to intelligence and put five points into your Mana. " Nana did not tell Lexy that the healing spell she was getting only needed thirty intelligence to cast or that she had access to twenty other spells at this time.

After some thought, Lexy put five points into Intelligence and then ten into mana as well as another ten into health.
